Putuo Mountain Worship Guide

South China Sea Guanyin

It is located at the southern end of Shuangfeng Mountain in Zhejiang, on Guanyin Tiao Mountain. The momentum here rises with the peak, the forest is lush, the air is clear, and the blue waves are rippling. Zhujiajian Island, the lotus on the other side of the ocean, guards across the sea; the purple bamboo forest at the foot of Shuangfeng Mountain carries the sound of the tide. Being there, like being in the paradise world, will make you forget. The Buddha statue appears on the top of the Buddha, supported by the left hand and stamped with the fearless seal on the right hand. Wonderful and benevolent, it embodies the Buddhist teaching of Guanyin, "the eyes are as clear as life, and the oath is as deep as the sea." This Buddha statue is made of new imitation gold and copper.

Dong Chaoyin

The sound hole faces the sea and opens its mouth wide. The tide hits the entrance of the cave day and night, like a flying dragon, with a sound like thunder, hence the name Yinchao Cave. When the tide is high, leaning on the rocks and looking down is like a dumpling, full of dangers and strange things. In case of strong winds, the water splashes and the foam goes straight to the top of the "skylight". If it is a sunny day, colorful neon lights will appear in the cave, which is a wonder.

Pan Rock

Not far to the west of Meifu Temple on Meiling Peak of Mount Putuo, on an open platform on the top of the mountain, there is a pair of seemingly crumbling boulders - Pantuo Stone. In fact, it's solid as a rock. According to legend, this is the place where Guanyin Bodhisattva spoke. Nowadays, there is a cliff carving on the stone wall of "The First Practice Place of Jindi Zang". Gukou Mountain Spring is divided into two tributaries, east and west, bypassing the Pantuo Stone, showing the trend of "two dragos"

Located about 5.3 kilometers southeast of Putuo Mountain, it is known as the Guanyin Bodhisattva A holy place where spiritual practice flourishes. 755-79000: "In this place, there is a mountain named Bubiloka, and there is a Bodhisattva named Zizai." According to records in the "Huayan Sutra" of the Republic of China: "Luojia Mountain, a mountain suspended in the sea. The island is in the southeast of Putuo Mountain. Anyone who goes up to the mountain to worship Buddha must be a mountain at the same time. "Since ancient times, Putuo and Luojia Mountain have been one. There is a saying that "it is not the end of Putuo until Luojia Mountain". In order to separate the two islands, they are called Putuo Mountain and Luojia Mountain.

The South Gate of Paradise

On Nanshan Mountain south of Putuo Mountain, it confronts Short Auntie Road. Nantianmen hangs alone into the sea. At the southernmost point of Mount Putuo, separated from the island by a river, there is a stone bridge shaped like a dragon, called Huanlong Bridge. Here, there are huge rocks and dangerous rocks standing tall. The two stones are like gates in it, so it is called Nantian Gate. The eaves of the gate rise to one corner, with the two characters "Nantianmen" written in the middle, the Nantianmen well of Mount Putuo next to the longan, the stone drum on the cliff, and the lion stone on the upper left side of the Nantianmen gate of Mount Putuo.

Guanyin Ancient Cave

It is located next to the Yingge stone behind Meiling Mountain in Putuo Mountain, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. It was originally a natural cave with no temple and only a few plum trees, so it has Called "Gu Meiling". The roof of the cave is covered with rocks and camphor trees block the sun.

Best time to travel

Suitable for all seasons. If you want to see the grand occasion of Buddhism, you can specially choose these days: February 19th is the birthday of Guanyin Bodhisattva, June 19th is the day when the Buddha became enlightened, and September 19th is the day when the Buddha became a monk. It is recommended to play for 1-2 days.
