Shaanxi also has the original ecological Yellow River Gudu! Cars can cross the river from the boat, and there are many scenic spots nearby.

The word "Yellow River crosses the ancient river" is full of the vastness of history and sounds a bit like an iron horse in the autumn wind.

The Yellow River flows through Shaanxi for about 800 kilometers from north to south, and Shanxi and Shaanxi face each other across the river. For thousands of years, countless wonderful historical stories have been born between the Three Qin Dynasties and the Three Jin Dynasties, and it is the ancient ferry crossing on the Yellow River that connects these stories like silk thread.

Fenglingdu, Pujin Ferry Estuary, Yumen Ferry, Qikou Ferry ... In the long years before crossing the river bridge, Shanxi on the east bank of the Yellow River and Shaanxi on the west bank communicated with each other by these ferries.

Nowadays, various railway bridges and highway bridges have replaced these ancient ferries. People can fly over the Yellow River without feeling, which is convenient and also loses some historical charm.

So, where are the ancient ferries along the Yellow River left?

In the early summer of this year, the Huang family set out from An, passed through Dali County, Weinan, arrived at the "Yellow Highway" along the Yellow River, and then headed south to reach the Qiachuan tourist area in the northeast of Guanzhong Plain.

Unexpectedly, there is also a ferry with original flavor here. Although there is no ferry crossing the river, it is still the ships that bear the heavy responsibility of transportation-vertical ships are connected together, and the road paved with steel plates is firmly erected on it, leading directly to Shanxi on the other side of the Yellow River, and all kinds of vehicles such as trucks and cars are unimpeded.

This is the famous "Qiawu Floating Bridge" on the Yellow River, which connects Qiachuan Town, Heyang County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province and Wuwang Village, Jiaobei Town, Linyi County, Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province. It is a modern vertical bridge built on the basis of the ancient crossing of Wuwangdu in Shaanxi and Xiayangdu in Shaanxi, and it is also the only vertical bridge in Qin Jin section of the Yellow River.

According to legend, Wuwangdu in Shanxi was first built by Zhong Er, the son of the State of Jin in the Spring and Autumn Period (Jin Wengong, one of the five tyrants in the Spring and Autumn Period), with a history of more than 2,600 years. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the king of Wu and merchants crossed the border, which was a big pier connecting southern Shaanxi with northern Shaanxi and northwest China.

Opposite Wuwangdu is Xiayangdu in Shaanxi, located in Qiachuan Town, Heyang County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. It also has a nice name, called "Wooden Bucket Ancient Crossing", which was named after Han Xin, the late Qin Dynasty and the early Han Dynasty, who led an army here and made a raft with wooden sticks and pottery merchants to cross the river.

However, due to the changes of the Yellow River channel, the location of the ferry in Xiayangdu is constantly changing. The earliest site of the ancient ferry is some distance from the current ferry, about four or five kilometers to the north, and it has become a tourist attraction on the Yellow River.

"Qiawu Bridge" connects Wuwangdu in the east and Xiayangdu in the west. Its existence can vaguely make people feel the primitive roughness of the ancient crossing of the Yellow River before the industrial age.

Built in 2008, this pontoon bridge consists of 3 1 columns, with a length of 524 meters. At present, it belongs to the 342 national highway crossing bridge. The vertical bridge can rise and fall with the water surface, but in flood season, in order to ensure the smooth and safe passage of flood discharge, it will also be temporarily removed. At this time, the vehicles crossing the river will bypass Longmen in the upstream or fenglingdu in the downstream.

It is said that the vertical bridge in Chawu was built in Shaanxi, so there is a toll station here in Shaanxi. All vehicles crossing the bridge, except military vehicles and police cars, will be charged. The charge for each vehicle is 10 yuan, and the charge for buses and trucks varies according to the vehicle type and whether it is loaded or not. For example, for a large bus with more than 35 seats, 40 yuan is charged for crossing the bridge once. Large trailer crossing the bridge empty 100 yuan, heavy truck in 400 yuan. (Pedestrians, bicycles and motorcycles are not allowed to get on the bridge)

Although "Qiawuqiao" is a transportation facility, it has become a "scenic spot" for many self-driving tourists to punch in. There are also some tourist attractions around it that are worth visiting because of its rough Yellow River customs and profound historical background:

Shaanxi has Qiachuan Virgin Spring, Fushan Mountain, Tianzhu Mountain and Yellow River Soul. And Shanxi has the Yellow River drifting. Not far from the ferry, there is also a "Wuwang Guzhai Fort" with a history of thousands of years, which witnessed the commercial prosperity of this water pier. Today, this ancient village still retains tall towers, complete street patterns and a primitive ancient road leading directly to the Yellow River ferry.

From the pontoon bridge to Shanxi, you can drive south, enter the historic Yuncheng Basin and Zhongtiaoshan area, and go downstream to the ancient city of Zhou Pu in yongji city, where there are Pujiu Temple, Pujin Ferry Site (Yellow River Iron Bull in Tang Dynasty), Stork Tower and ancient city site.

Through Fenglingdu Bridge to Tongguan and back to Shaanxi, you can just form a small tourist loop connecting the two sides of the Yellow River in series, and you can have a good time in two days. After the epidemic, you might as well experience it.
