The role of rural tourism in regional economic development

First, it increases economic income and creates employment opportunities. The most direct and significant benefit of developing rural tourism is to increase farmers' income, create employment opportunities, and promote regional economic development. According to the author's understanding, more than 10 households in Luojie Village in the north of Linshui City and on the edge of Lijiahong Lake have opened social hotels and farmhouses. Farmers who used to make a living by farming are now living a relatively prosperous life. The value of local products, mountain products, farm meals, etc. that no one paid attention to in the past has doubled, and they have become the main source of income for farmers to become rich and well-off.

The second is to drive the surrounding economy and promote diversified economic development. Rural tourism not only creates jobs for surplus labor in surrounding areas. It also provides a large market for agricultural and sideline products from surrounding areas. Tourism reception has a large demand for food and beverages, agricultural and sideline products, local products and mountain goods, etc., which has enabled rural tourism to form a stable cooperative relationship with surrounding areas, extended the product chain, expanded the industrial scope, formed an industrial cluster, and promoted the economy of surrounding areas. diversified development.

The third is to promote structural adjustment and promote agricultural transformation. As a follow-up industry to traditional agriculture, rural tourism helps to promote the adjustment of rural economic structure and can form a benign structure in which tourism drives the tertiary industry and the tertiary industry serves the primary and secondary industries. Rural tourism is mostly based on orchards, flowers, and breeding industries, and uses sightseeing, folk customs, and folk festivals as carriers. Two ideas for developing rural tourism

Combining rural tourism and vacation, orchard experience, plus simple folk customs, unique local flavor and authentic farm life, the leisure orchard has gradually been built into an ideal place for ordinary citizens to take a short vacation during weekends, golden weeks, and short vacations. We also carry out activities such as orchard leasing and fruit tree adoption in a timely manner, and develop orchard leisure tourism through multiple channels and forms.
