The Historical Evolution of Shulu County

Shulu County, xinji city, has a long history.

Counties were established in the Western Han Dynasty, which were divided into five counties: Yan, (Ding), Anding, Lexin and Xiliang. During the Northern Qi Dynasty, it belonged to Anguo County. In the 16th year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty, it was located in Yancheng County, and in the 18th year it was changed to Lucheng County. In the 14th year of Tianbao in the Tang Dynasty (AD 755), An Lushan rebelled and made an insurrection here. In the early 15th year of Tianbao (AD 756), An Lushan was broken. In March, Lucheng, the city of Raoyang, was changed to Shulu, and the county site was located in the old city. Tomorrow, the county site will be moved to the new city. During the Anti-Japanese War in March, 1938, the anti-Japanese government was established in Shulu County, which was located in Xincheng and belonged to a sub-district in southern Hebei. In January 194, Shulu County was divided into Shuji County and Shubei County. In early 1946, the original county system was restored, and then it was divided into 17 districts and old cities, xinji city City and the county government was stationed in the old city. Xinji city and Shulu County belong to Shijiazhuang Agency. In September, 1949, the resident of the county government moved from the old city to Xinji Town. In October, 1949, it administered seven districts and two towns, namely, the old city and Xinji, and its jurisdiction and membership remained unchanged. In November 1958, Shulu, Jinxian and Shenze counties merged into Shulu County, which governed 17 communes. In May 1961, the original jurisdiction of Shulu County was restored, and Jinxian County and Shenze County were set up separately. In 1965, it was changed to 31 communes, and in 1982, it was changed to 31 committees. In May 1984, it was changed to administer 1 town and 3 townships. In August 1984, it changed its jurisdiction to 4 towns and 27 townships. In March 1985, it changed its jurisdiction to 7 towns and 24 townships. On March 5, 1986, the county was changed to xinji city.
