Guidelines for visiting the Shanghai World Expo during the summer vacation!
Are you students? I just came back from Shanghai. I went there with my classmates and spent 5 days.
1. In terms of accommodation, students can stay in youth hostels, which are much cheaper than business hotels. You can check "Shanghai International Youth Hostel" online and you should be satisfied. Best to book in advance.
2. We are also based on economic principles and do not go to expensive places. Like the Oriental Pearl Tower, I heard that the ticket price is 300, but it seems that students can get half price. Jinjiang Amusement Park is good. Others recommended it to us at the time, but we didn’t go because we didn’t have enough time. There are many things to play in, and it’s not cheap to play them all. Entry time is from 8:45 to 17:00. Ticket price: 30 yuan ticket comes with 2 items (excluding cooperative projects); 60 yuan combined ticket includes 6 items of your choice (ticket included; except cooperative projects).
3. I can’t tell the weather for sure, so just check the weather forecast online in advance.
4. I also watched the World Expo for three days. There are too many people. It is recommended to line up at the door before 8 o'clock. It was less than 8:30 on the first day I went, and the ticket check-in started at 8:30. I waited in line for more than an hour before entering. If you can't get up that early, it is recommended to go after 10 o'clock. By then there will be very few people at the door and you can enter without queuing. Before entering the park, volunteers will hand out maps of the Expo, which you should be able to see. If you go early, someone will hand out a reservation ticket for the China Pavilion at the door, and someone will hand out a reservation ticket for the Taiwan Pavilion at the door of the Taiwan Pavilion (the reservation machine can only make reservations for the theme pavilion, not the country pavilion). Or you can check which pavilion after getting the map. He rushed directly to the gym at a sprint speed of 100 meters. For the Saudi Pavilion, the queue time was as long as 9 hours on the days we went. In Germany, when I went there, it was said at the door that the queue would take 5 hours, but I waited 3 hours to get in (20 minutes was enough when I entered the park early to rush to the German Pavilion). There are no awnings in some places, so it will be very hot during the summer vacation, so be careful of heatstroke. When you get out of the subway station, there is a small stool selling for 10 yuan each. You can buy one and sit down while waiting in line (walking around the Expo for a day is very tiring). Food in the Expo is very expensive. The cheapest one is probably KFC. It is recommended to buy delicious food and bring it in. (You are not allowed to bring water into the garden. You can bring bottles and collect water from inside.) The British Pavilion is boring and there is a long queue. It is just some seeds and many plants. You can decide whether you want to see it or not. There are also some restaurants where you don’t have to queue, especially at night. There is a small place called Yemen, which is not marked on the map. It seems to be next to Uzbekistan in Area A. A group of black people are selling jewelry. They are very enthusiastic and they can bargain hard. A bracelet is 2 or 30 yuan, and bracelets and necklaces are a little more expensive. (Recommended)
5. I visited Qipu Street and Huaihai West Road recommended by Shanghainese people, but they were boring. Maybe I didn’t get to the highlights. (Highly recommended!) The only better one is Thumb Plaza. Go up the stairs next to Carrefour and you will find a small plaza. This is a brand discount store with new models and discounts. It's just a little small, so I could spend half a day shopping there. Nanjing Road is very prosperous. It's nice to see the lights on at night. It's also close to the Bund. You can buy the goods sold elsewhere, so be careful of thieves.
6. If you want to talk about snacks in Shanghai, you have to go to the City God Temple. The snacks are quite expensive. There is a small City God Temple in the Expo on the second floor somewhere. You should be able to see it if you stay in the Expo for 3 days. From there Not bad to try.
7. Places suitable for couples...the amusement park and the Bund are all very good. It is said that there is something like a lover's wall on the Bund. I didn't see it and I don't know much about it. It's just for reference.
