Matters needing attention in visa processing:
First, before applying, make clear the student visa policy and visa processing process of the other country. Applying for a student visa in Britain or the United States is different from applying for a student visa in Singapore, Malaysia and other countries, and the visa processing process is not consistent. For example, student visas in the United States and Britain must be signed in person, while student visas in Singapore and Malaysia generally only need to be handed in.
Second, understand the documents required to apply for a student visa. Generally speaking, to apply for a student visa, you need to fill in the application form, submit your passport, bank fund certificate, admission notice, graduation certificate, English proficiency certificate and photos, etc. A qualified passport should have a validity period of at least one year and leave 4-6 blank pages. Students are advised to ensure that they get a new passport before applying for a student visa or apply to the public security department for additional pages.
Third, applying for a student visa generally requires two photos. Different countries have different requirements for the size and background of photos, so they should take photos and cut them as required. I suggest that you prepare more photos. First, foreign photos are more expensive than domestic photos. Second, it is also necessary to apply for tourist visas, student cards, transportation cards and driver's licenses abroad.
Fourthly, as the most troublesome document, the bank's self-certification must pay attention to several points when applying: first, make clear the amount and length of the financial certification required for student visas; Secondly, confirm which documents issued by domestic banks and what forms of funds can be certified by the embassy. For example, the British embassy does not recognize the amount of stocks and savings insurance; Finally, if the funds are not in your own name, you need to provide identification documents recognized by the embassy that can prove the kinship with the account holder, such as birth certificate, household registration book and so on.
Fifth, if conditions permit, you can provide travel plans or air ticket reservation vouchers. However, embassies generally advise applicants not to buy air tickets before obtaining visas. Although buying air tickets in advance can get a low price, applicants should be aware that visa application is risky, so they should not buy non-refundable air tickets cheaply.
Sixth, if the supporting documents provided by yourself are not made in English, they all need to be translated. Some embassies require that translation must be carried out by a regular translation company or translator with a registered number. In addition, the embassy may also require some documents to be officially notarized.
Seventh, before submitting the student visa application, you should make a copy of all the documents to be submitted for your reference. In this way, if the embassy requests supplementary documents, and some documents are not returned or lost, it can also inquire or save a copy. As the passport is kept by the embassy during the application process, it is suggested that you also copy the first page of your passport or record the main information of your passport in case of emergency.
