What apps do you need to download when traveling to Germany and what should you pay attention to?

Germany is a very developed European country. The natural environment here is well protected, and the countryside and the city are clearly separated, giving people a sense of paradise. People here live very comfortably. Let me share with you which apps you need to download for traveling in Germany and what you need to pay attention to.

I couldn’t sleep on the third day of my Nordic trip and wanted to return home after three days.

So I plan to post an article about my four-month experience in Germany, which is purely informative.

1. This is really a very important photo. It can be said that after downloading these apps, what are the disadvantages of being in Germany (for me)

Domestic preparations:

The first step: a certain treasure must be purchased as shown in Figure 2 Vodafone’s phone card

It can be said that buying China Mobile’s status in advance saves time and effort.

You can get a G/28 day for seventy or eighty yuan. After using up 3G and 4G, you can get unlimited 2G (no lag for chatting or anything else)

Free calls from the same operator.

You can change it when you get on the plane, and then make sure there is a password on the back of the card.

You have to enter it every time you turn on your phone (Baidu has a way to set it up without unlocking it. I don’t think it is necessary, so if you haven’t tried it before, it is very convenient to do it on Baidu yourself)

Note live! Don't forget the four-digit password! Otherwise it will be difficult.

Step 2: Take a Hua Xia Bank card and exchange it for euros (Picture 3).

The main reason for recommending this card is that the first overseas cash withdrawal every month is free.

(If you bring your visa application card, you can get 5 pounds for free)

Before, euros were not enough. The Agricultural Bank of China withdrew 1,000 euros and deducted 80 to 90 yuan from the handling fee. The handling fee for blood loss is not small, so it is really convenient to apply for this card.

This card is called "Longxing Wuzhou". Remember not to make mistakes.

(ps: Usually cash withdrawals are made from banks like Sparkasse.

The red logo is very conspicuous, and there is a small dot on the S which is easy to identify.

Many of these widely distributed stores can cash out through UnionPay.

Deutsche Bank cannot provide services and the attitude is not very good)

Step 3: Download the necessary applications<. /p>

Map: Google Maps

Although Baidu Maps is my favorite, foreign Google is still very easy to use.

When I was looking for a bank in #cologne

The search volume on Baidu Maps is far less than that of Google Maps.

After positioning in a very far place for a long time, the direction kept drifting.

Later I gave up using Google and found one near 250m.

Bus: VRT Figure 4 Train: DB

They are all spoken by local German students. Just take a bus and watch VRT.

Select Trips (AtoB), then enter your departure point and arrival point, and the fastest bus route will automatically pop up.

And you can choose to display the bus stop name (it is recommended to use Google query software for bus stop names. The map is too small to navigate and is not as convenient as Googlemap).

Yes, DB can also query ticket prices at time points, etc. (the usage is similar to skipping without talking, the same as VRT)

Food: Yelp (German version of Dianping)< /p>

Given to me by Amway, a German graduate student. Really useful.

(Since the software does not display when I open it in Hungary, please take a screenshot next time when I have time.)

This software will mainly recommend some special restaurants, which are all reviewed by foreigners. You can Translate to view.

You can also choose the price order (one euro is the cheapest symbol, four euros is the most expensive symbol) without fear of losing the price.

Another advantage is that if you don’t understand the menu when eating, you can point out the dishes you want to the clerk based on the customer review pictures on the app, which saves you a lot of trouble in ordering (ordering is the most difficult! )

Language: Translator and German assistant available.

A translator can directly take a photo to translate (such as a menu file), but it must be clear. Not only cannot they all be recognized, some words can be translated one by one, and most of the content can be understood.

German assistants must be used with caution. If they use it too much, they charge for it. I have used it for free several times before, mainly to accurately translate keywords (usually used by people learning German)

Transportation consultation: Main Vodafone

This is only for people who use Vodafone cards ! I don't know about other operators.

When using data, you can check your phone bill balance and data balance.

If you open the app while using Wi-Fi, a very complicated page will pop up, requiring you to enter a bunch of things, so it is not recommended to query while using Wi-Fi.

Don’t be afraid

You can display this ticket an unlimited number of times in the designated area.

1. When you buy a ticket, you will be given two pieces of paper, so be sure to bring them with you.

If the ticket cannot be found through inspection, it will be considered as fare evasion, and the fine will be very high, and it will leave a bad credit record.

2. Only local trains are available for trains.

If you want to take the IC test or something, you have to buy another ticket.

Group tickets are available on weekends. It is very, very cost-effective for up to five people to take a 24-hour free train (local train) in Germany! You can choose to buy this if you are traveling on a day trip. You can do your own math on how to save the most money.

Germany is famous for its pig trotter sausage beer.

Salty. I love anything with potatoes in it. It’s also a huge amount.

Usually one person orders a dish, such as pizza, and eats it himself.

If a group of people wants to order a lot of dishes and try a few, you can tell the waiter.

They will give you a few extra plates (don’t be embarrassed, they actually understand cultural differences).

Although drinks are expensive, you must order drinks. Tipping is generally 5-10%.

Remember to have afternoon tea/dessert/ice cream.

Really cheap and delicious!

Weather: Bring your coat and umbrella.

Germany is a place with a large temperature difference between day and night. You can wear a light jacket in the morning and evening.

It usually doesn’t rain and the weather forecast is inaccurate. Just in case, you can bring a lighter umbrella.

Accommodation: Find B&Bs on airbnb and book hotels.

The hotel star standards here are not as good as those in China. Remember to bring your own slippers, toothbrush, ointment, etc. They do not provide disposable items (for environmental protection).

Choose a good place to stay (security is the most important)

Do some research in advance to prevent you from finding scary places.

The relatively safe Germans also speak good English and can communicate with each other (French/Italian English is not so good).

If you have questions, they will answer you patiently over and over again (every time they ask German students questions, they are super attentive and will not be impatient with idiot questions).

Germans are also very polite and pay great attention to the classification of sanitary waste (post this next time)

If there is anything left behind, I can ask questions. After seeing this article, I will try my best to reply and complete it (I can't write so many papers).
