About Xishan
Xishan, also known as Dongting Xishan and Jinting Town, is the largest island in Taihu Lake. On the island, you can not only see the rime scenery of Taihu Lake, but also the Rime Peak, the head of the 72 peaks of Taihu Lake. There are ancient villages and caves. There are many attractions to visit, each with its own characteristics. Farmhouses and freshwater lakes are also very attractive.
The Taihu Bridge is divided into three sections. It connects the mainland, Changsha Island, Yeshan Island and Xishan Island from north to south. It is like a necklace and is a landscape in itself. Tourists mainly visit Xishan Island. There is a mountain in the middle, and the tour route is circular around the mountain. It is recommended to schedule at least two days. On the first day, we visited Linwu Cave on East Road and its surrounding attractions. In the evening, we stayed at Shigongshan North or Mingyuewan Ancient Village. On the second day, we went to Rime Peak or other attractions on West Road.
There are many local restaurants in the area, and restaurants along the lake are concentrated in Shigong Mountain and Mingyuewan Ancient Village. Be sure to try the special delicacies "Taihu Three Whites", white fish, whitebait, white shrimp, and the hairy crabs that are available in Taihu Lake in autumn are also very good. Xishan Island has different green products in four seasons, including Biluochun tea in April, loquat in May, bayberry in June, peach and pomegranate in August, and orange in autumn. You can see tea plantations and countless fruits on both sides of the road.
There are many other scenic spots hidden in the corners of Xishan, such as Wangyu Temple, Gucun East Village and Zhili in the west. If you are looking for a place for leisure and entertainment, Green Light Happy Farm and Cowboy Country Club have various entertainment projects such as horse riding and go-karts. You can also participate in fruit picking at the farm and play real-life CS in the cowboy country.
Tickets
Tickets to Xishan are free, but internal attractions are charged separately.

Tips
1. There are many scenic spots in Xishan and they are scattered widely. Although the bus routes basically cover all scenic spots, it is better to drive by yourself.
In February, February and March, when plum blossoms are in full bloom, as well as during National Day and other holidays, many self-driving cars may cause congestion on the Taihu Bridge. When appreciating plum blossoms, it is difficult to find a parking space in Linwu Cave, and it is difficult to walk inside the cave, so be mentally prepared;
3. There are no combined tickets for all scenic spots in Xishan. If you want to visit many attractions, it is better to buy an annual pass, such as a family annual pass for 280 yuan and a single annual pass for 150 yuan. You can make a reservation online and then go to the Jinting Tourist Service Center on Xishan Island. With this card, you can visit ten attractions as many times as you like within a year.
