How to get to Fenghuang Ancient City from Qingdao

After leaving Jishou Railway Station, there is a Pheasant Bus to Fenghuang Ancient Town, which costs 15 yuan/person, or you can take a regular bus to the South Bus Station, which also costs 15 yuan/person. The journey takes about 1 and a half hours.

Don’t believe those women who tell you there is an inn behind you when you arrive at Fenghuang Ancient City. Non-holidays (Sunday--Thursday): 80--100/night for hotel's riverside rooms, 30--50/night for non-riverside rooms, 100--120/night for riverside rooms on holidays (Friday--Saturday). Note: There is an additional 20 yuan for air conditioning in various rooms. After arriving in the ancient city, you can go from house to house to check out the inns. Only stay if you see the one that suits your liking and the price. Don’t worry, choosing an inn is also a pleasure. Personally, I prefer to live on the north bank of Tuojiang River, where it is more lively.

In the inn, you can find the boss to buy tickets for various attractions, and there are relatively big discounts. For example, it only costs 60 yuan per person to watch the Phoenix performance. Other Miao one-day tours are also about the same price, which is 50% cheaper than buying tickets outside. One thing to note is not to buy combined tickets. I personally think it is not necessary and valuable. Also, don’t Get on the black ship, otherwise you will ruin this enjoyable journey.

Remember to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, towels and other daily necessities, the inn does not provide them.

The starting price of a taxi in the ancient city is 5 yuan, and each trip to the meter is 70 cents. Generally, it costs about 7-8 yuan from the bus station to Hongqiao. The starting price will increase after 10pm. Battery car is 1 yuan per person per trip.

Beer in a bar or bar costs about 15-30 yuan/bottle

In the ancient city, budget 600-800 yuan/person.

Remember not to use coins. The locals are very disgusted with using coins. Also, they don’t like credit card consumption there, and 99% of them don’t use credit cards, so it’s better to bring more cash or go to the teller machine to withdraw money when you get there. In fact, the security there is better, but you have to be careful with your little hands when shopping.
