Travel Notes of a Family from Chengdu to Beijing 1-Travel Preparations + Itinerary Arrangements for the First Two Days
Our family has been traveling in Beijing for three days now, and I have only updated an article about my first roast duck meal in the past few days. After thinking about it, I still feel that I can provide a relatively complete Beijing travel diary to provide you with some reference for your trip and share some of your own feelings.
Preparation before traveling to Beijing
This is a long-planned trip for a family of five. This time I mainly share my experience in accommodation and transportation. The accommodation booked in advance ended up in two rooms. I chose an apartment between a hotel room and an apartment. The price is about the same as the two hotels. Everyone can be taken care of when living together.
Beijing’s traditional tourist attractions such as Tiananmen (Ctrip), the Great Wall (Badaling Great Wall ticket reservation), the Forbidden City (Mini Program Palace Museum), Tiananmen (Ctrip), Prince Gong’s Mansion (Ctrip or Dianping) and other attractions are all You need to book at least one day in advance. For example, Universal Studios (Universal Beijing Resort applet or app) also needs to book many days in advance, so be prepared in advance
For daily transportation in Beijing, we mainly consider using the subway, and occasionally use it For public transportation, just prepare an Alipay (travel) to apply for the subway QR code and bus QR code for Beijing travel in advance. Just prepare a navigation app Tencent Maps or Baidu Maps, and prepare your ID card to set off.
Departure + Check-in + Dinner
Since most domestic flights currently depart from Chengdu Tianfu Airport, and I have never been to Tianfu Airport, my family decided to leave early. The flight at 12:30 in the morning was at 9 Depart from here and head to Tianfu Airport via Metro Line 18. It is very convenient to arrive at Tianfu Airport. Except for some airlines that have to go to the terminal to check in, most airlines go directly to Tianfu Airport Terminal 1 and 2 after exiting the station.
After exiting the subway station, pick up the boarding pass + self-service baggage check-in. If you don’t understand, the staff will give you guidance. After finishing the process, it was around 10:40, and there was plenty of time left to enjoy the trip more leisurely. This design is still very convenient
My daughter insisted on eating KFC at Tianfu Airport and usually didn’t let her eat it. Today I just let her eat a little bit. After watching the planes at the airport for a while, I was ready to go. boarding gate. The boarding gate we want to go to requires taking a shuttle bus from the T2 terminal and following the directions. It takes about 10 minutes and waits at the boarding gate. We got on the plane around 12 o'clock. My daughter was a little worried about her being scared when flying for the first time, but she still insisted on taking the window seat and let her do whatever she wanted! As long as it doesn't make a fuss~~
It's okay on the plane The process went quite smoothly. My daughter managed to sleep on the plane for most of the two-and-a-half-hour trip. We also tried to be quiet, and spent the rest of the time telling her stories and looking out the window. After arriving in Beijing and picking up my luggage, I was ready to start my trip to Beijing.
Successfully arrived at the apartment via the subway. The Beijing subway is slightly different from Chengdu. ① Some lines do not indicate how long it will take for the next bus to arrive. You can estimate the time for the next bus to arrive through the timetable posted at the station entrance. ② The subway in Beijing is semi-open. When the train comes and goes, you can obviously feel the strong wind, which is also a different experience.
Going to the supermarket next to the apartment where we stayed, we did a round of shopping and bought a lot of water, milk and toiletries. After that, we ended our first day of travel #自media新人#
Roast Duck+ Forbidden City itinerary
The main itinerary of the second day was originally planned to be the Forbidden City + Jingshan Park, but in fact we only went to the Forbidden City~~
I woke up before 7 o'clock in the morning, maybe because the curtains were not open It was too tight because the morning sun was too bright. I got up and checked my phone for a while. After briefly reading some content shared by some friends, I washed up and went to buy a simple breakfast. I bought some steamed buns, fried dough sticks, soy milk eggs, and tofu curds that I also ate in Chengdu. They tasted pretty good. It was after 9 o'clock when I shared my last post. I saw that the queue at the Forbidden City Roast Duck Restaurant was too strong and I temporarily changed to a Four Seasons Minfu. I went to the queue in advance and finally got it.
I ordered a roast duck. The roast duck overall felt good. The skin was crispier than what we had in Chengdu, and different parts had different feelings. We are not used to the palace almond tofu itself, so my daughter ate a lot of the crispy pork pot + roast duck. The overall meal was quite satisfactory. I mainly went there in advance. If you say it’s worth queuing for 2-3 hours to experience it, I personally don’t think it’s necessary. Otherwise, go there earlier, change the date, or find another restaurant!!< /p>
Then the highlight of today’s itinerary is the Forbidden City. I bought a book for my daughter, "Here Comes the Forbidden City" and took it with me to check in at the Forbidden City. It turned out that my daughter was more interested in the stickers included, but the attached Forbidden City subway and recommended tour routes were very convenient. We followed the above routes and also showed some key check-in points in the form of game maps to attract the children. interest in playing. Arrive at a place and explain the story in the book, and explain that the next story can only be seen at the next place.
Check-in point map route
The most interesting thing for my daughter is that she heard that there are goldfish in Yanxi Palace and it is very far away. Finally, it was a long time ago that she discovered that there were goldfish. I am a little disappointed that I no longer have my daughter, and I have lost the motivation to support myself in playing.
We were exhausted and fell asleep, so we sat down on a row of chairs near the East Sixth Palace to let our daughter sleep. After sleeping for nearly 2 hours, we gave up the itinerary of Jingshan Park and chose to take the bus home at the entrance of the Forbidden City.
Each Beijing bus has a separate boarding location. Just make sure which one you want to take and go to the corresponding bus stop in advance. The bus we took has a segmented fee and you need to swipe your card to get on the bus. You need to swipe your card when you get off the bus. If you forget to swipe your card when you get off the bus, it will be processed according to the terminal station, so remember to swipe your card when you get off the bus.
I was tired when I got home at night, so I didn’t want to go out and ordered takeout, braised and fried liver. I ordered the door frame and Yao Ji respectively, and I am not sure whether they are authentic. My final conclusion is that the stewed liver is not bad, mainly including some fatty sausages that we in Sichuan also like to eat (you can also consider trying to eat in the store later)
The taste of the fried liver is okay, but the texture is sticky. I don’t like it very much, so I probably won’t try it. Taking out food is more convenient for us who are unfamiliar with the place and want to experience it but don’t want to leave. Later, we will choose to go to the store to try it in depth if we are willing to try it.
The above is the content of the first two days. The content is relatively homely. I am still getting familiar with and gradually experiencing some life in Beijing. I will continue to share the content of the Great Wall, Universal Studios and other itineraries in the future.
