It is located on the Sichuan-Tibet Line of National Highway 318 and is one of the lowest altitude areas in Tibet. Due to the influence of the Indian Warm Current, the climate is humid and the animals and plants are flourishing. 80% of Tibet's forests are concentrated. It is the third largest forest area in China.

This city is Linzhi, located in southeastern Tibet, bordering Lhasa and Shannan to the west, Nagqu to the north, Qamdo and Yunnan to the east, and India and Myanmar to the south.

Ningchi was once a region of Tibet. It was revoked in 2015 and established as Linzhi City, with jurisdiction over Bomi County, Medog County, Chayu County, Gongbujiangda County, Milin County, Lang County, Bayi District (formerly known as Bayi Town), and the government seat.

Located in the middle and lower reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River, there is the deepest canyon on earth - the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, and one of the most famous peaks on the Sichuan-Tibet line - Namjagbarwa Peak, also known as the "Shameful Girl Peak" . Because its triangular peak is covered with snow and clouds all year round, it is never easily visible to others. Some tourists have been to the Sichuan-Tibet Line several times without seeing its true face.

Ningchi has the Himalayas and Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains, as well as the Brahmaputra River, the largest river in Tibet. The mountains and rivers here are beautiful, the vegetation is lush, the blue sky is low, and the scenery is beautiful. It is called the Jiangnan of Tibet. When the peach blossoms are in full bloom in March, it is as beautiful as heaven, attracting tourists from all over the country.

Because Nyingchi has a low altitude, an airport, and direct flights from the mainland, many tourists who are afraid of heights will go to Nyingchi to adapt for a few days before going to Tibet. In addition, there are many scenic spots here, including the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, the deepest canyon on earth, Lulang Town in Tibet, Yangni River, Taohua Valley, Nanyigou and so on.

Medog County in Linzhi was once known as Tibet’s secret territory because there were no roads. It was once only accessible on foot, and the grasshoppers scattered along the way scared away many tourists. It borders India and is one of the lowest areas in Tibet. It is said that the lowest point of China International Travel Service is only more than 100 meters. The famous Brahmaputra River flows out from here and flows into India.

Now Medog has opened a highway and has become the last county in China. In the future, it will be much more convenient to go to Medog to find stone pots. No manpower or horsepower is needed to do it.

Zayu and Medog, known as Xishuangbanna in Tibet, are both on the border. They have strong ethnic customs and subtropical climate, which are very different from other places in Tibet.

Lingzhi is a multi-ethnic area, mainly Tibetan, in addition to Monba, Barrow, etc. Because it is close to Yunnan, there are Dulong, Nu, Lisu, etc. There are still three people whose ethnic composition cannot be confirmed because the number is too small.

Lingzhi is rich in precious medicinal materials such as Cordyceps sinensis, Rhodiola rosea, Snow lotus, Ganoderma lucidum and so on. There was a free Cordyceps market in Bayi Town. Many local or foreign Tibetans and tourists gathered here to bargain, which was very lively. Every year, many merchants and vendors come here to wholesale Cordyceps for sale to the mainland.
