Guangdong Danxia Mountain 1

Located in Renhua County, Shaoguan, Guangdong Province, it is the world's "Danxia Landform" named place. It is the largest and most beautiful scenic spot in Guangdong Province and a world natural heritage site. It consists of more than 680 pieces of bright red gravel rocks, with a flat top, steep body and slow feet. It is the most typical Danxia landform in the world, with the most complete varieties and colorful patterns.

2. Zhang Ye Danxia

Located in Linze County and Sunan Yugur Autonomous County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, 547km away from Lanzhou City, it was one of the four counties in Hetao Plain in ancient times and was called "Ganzhou" in ancient times. The advantage of its location insurance is "don't want the snow in Qaidam Basin, and mistake Zhangye City for the south of the Yangtze River": it is adjacent to Jiuquan and Jiayuguan in the west, and Wuwei in the east. Together with Wuwei, it is called "Golden Zhangye and Silver Wuwei" and reaches Badain Jilin in the north. It not only has the strangeness and precipitousness of Danxia landform, but also depends on the beauty of color.

3. Wuyishan

Located in Wuyishan City, Nanping City, Fujian Province, it is a famous mountain of three religions. It is known as the first mountain in Fujian Province, a 5A-level tourist scenic spot in China, and a two-way heritage site of world culture and world natural heritage. It was once rated as one of the "top ten happiest regions in the world" by Lone Star Travel Guide.

The formation of Danxia landform is mainly divided into four stages:

The first stage: Himalayan orogeny inclined some red strata, eased folds, lifted red basins and formed outflow areas.

The second stage: the flowing water gathers in the low-lying place in the middle of the basin and erodes along the vertical joints of the rock strata, forming a deep ditch with two vertical walls, which is called a lane valley.

The third stage: when external forces such as running water cannot be completely removed, the colluvium with relatively slow slope is formed, and the colluvium cone continues to grow upward, and the lower bedrock forms a gentle slope consistent with the inclination direction of the colluvium cone.

The fourth stage: after the rock on the cliff surface collapsed, the range of the top of the mountain gradually narrowed, forming landforms such as stone peaks and stone walls. Coupled with the erosion of external forces such as running water, the Danxia landform we see today has been formed.
