Please provide travel guide from Zhengzhou to Gulangyu Island in Xiamen.
If it is your first time and you just want to see the scenery, it will take about 3 days, one day to visit the city and one night at the beach, the next day to go to the island to visit and stay, and the third day to return to the city and return. But Xiamen is a lazy place. You won't feel tired if you stay for a few more days.
Xiamen’s scenic spots are mainly located in the southern part of the city. The route can be arranged as follows: Xiamen University - Nanputuo Temple - Baicheng Beach - Huli San Fortress - Youhuandao Road - Zhongshan Pedestrian Street - —Gulangyu Island.
If you have enough time, you can make a special trip to Jimei Mei Village in the north of Xiamen City. It is the hometown of Mr. Tan Kah Kee and a famous hometown of overseas Chinese. You can also go to other surrounding areas.
What to eat?
Of course you have to eat seafood when you go to Xiamen, and of course you have to eat seafood at food stalls. Because fresh seafood tastes delicious, it does not require special seasoning processing. The things and practices in food stalls are not much different from those in big restaurants.
Recommend a few food stalls: Dongyu Seafood Street in Haicang District, where there are many food stalls; Big Banyan Tree, Basketball Court, Achuan, etc. on the road around the island; Dagu (Bianyan) in Shapowei There are also many food stalls on the street); the 141 stall on Kaiyuan Road near the ferry; the food stall street in Xidi; the food stall street in Guanyin Mountain; the Ah Aiao at the west gate of the park; the small glasses and fried crab street on Hubin Middle Road, etc.
If you are really rich, then go to Shuyou, Jiali, Kowloon Tong and Lei Yue Mun on the road around the island. The environment of these restaurants is very good, facing the beach.
Tip: When you come to Xiamen to eat seafood, be sure to bring antidiarrheal medicine and don’t be greedy. Friends who like to eat late night snacks are best not to go out too late. The famous food stalls here are very popular. If you go late, there will be very few seafood varieties to choose from.
Where to stay?
When going to Xiamen, many friends will think: Is it better to live on Xiamen Island or Gulangyu Island?
Xiamen Ferry is only 1 km away from Gulangyu Island, and there is a ferry every 10 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes at night. So if it's just for convenience. It is better to stay in a hotel near the Xiamen Island (urban) ferry terminal.
The main purpose of staying in Gulangyu Island is to experience the centuries-old history and various unique hotels. There are many hotels on the island, you can choose by yourself. However, it is recommended that if you want a cheap hotel, it is better to stay in Xiamen Island (urban area). (Hotels in urban areas are cheaper than on the island under the same conditions).
What to bring?
Before you go, remember to bring sunscreen, a hat, a parasol, and a camera. Xiamen has a low dimension and the radiation is relatively strong, making it easy to get tanned. Beach shoes or slippers are a must, otherwise how can you go to the beach?
When you come back, you can bring some dried seafood. On the dry goods street next to Xiaxi Market on Zhongshan Road, there is a PIZZA HUT at the intersection, which is easy to spot; the Huangjinxiang (Huang Shengji) Pork Floss on Gulangyu Island ; Wangji pie or Gulangyu brand pie (there are N brands, don’t make a mistake); Huang Zehe’s glutinous rice dumplings; Nanputuo vegetarian cakes; Tieguanyin tea; various shell ornaments (many of them are fake shells).
