1. Legend of Dujiangyan-Legend of Li Bing's Jiang Shen

It is said that after Li Bing took office, he heard that Jiang Shen near Chengdu was going to marry a bride every year, so he dressed up his two daughters and prepared to give them to Jiang Shen, but Jiang Shen made no movement. Li Bing was furious, fought hard, and finally killed the Cang Niu who was changed from Jiang Shen.

Later, Li Bing shaped three big stone men and put them in the middle of the river, and made an agreement with the river god that when the water was dry, it should not be lower than the instep of the stone man, and when the water was open, it should not exceed the shoulder of the stone man. In addition, Bing also carved five Shi Niu as his incarnation, and placed Shi Niu along the river to guard the river and prevent the monsters in the river from doing evil.

2. Legend of Dujiangyan II —— Legend of Li Erlang's Dragon Descending

It is also said that in ancient times, the dragon was harmed in the Minjiang River, and Erlang, the son of Li Bing, led the Seven Saints of Haishan to descend the dragon. After a fierce battle, all the Seven Saints and the hound, the roaring dog, died in battle, and the dragon fled south with serious injuries. Jiro chased Qingcheng Mountain, disappeared from sight of the dragon, sat on a big stone to rest, and met an old woman.

The old woman knew that he was Li Bing's son. In order to urge the dragon to come here, she gave him a warm reception, cooked noodles and asked him to eat. Soon, the dragon in human form also came to the old woman's house and begged for food to satisfy her hunger.

The old woman saw at a glance that it was a dragon, and she cooked a pot of noodles for it to eat. Unexpectedly, when the noodles reached the dragon's stomach, they all turned into chains with iron hooks, which locked the dragon from its stomach and made it have to give in easily. Up to now, there are two remains at the foot of Qingcheng Mountain: the "ass print" where Li Erlang sat and the "dragon rolling trough" where the dragon rolled.

3. Legend of Dujiangyan III-Legend of Husband and Wife Bridge (An Lan Bridge)

There is also a An Lan Bridge across Dujiangyan, and An Lan Bridge is also called Husband and Wife Bridge. There is a touching story among the people that the husband and wife are determined to build the bridge. He Xiande, a private school teacher of Hanjiaba in western Sichuan, was determined to rebuild the dilapidated An Lan Bridge during Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty. He raised funds from all parties and led the people to start construction, which violated the interests of the ferry crossing.

Watanabe colluded with the government and arrested Mr. He on the charge of "disregard for human life", and later died in prison. His wife was determined to inherit her husband's ambition, continued to ask craftsmen to repair the bridge, and finally built a new bridge. This bridge uses stones and wooden rafts as piers, thick bamboo cables as columns, and vertical wooden boards are used to fasten the column cables every ten meters, so the bridge body is stable and reliable.

In order to thank the couple who have benefited the people, people call this new bridge "Husband and Wife Bridge". Others wrote a poem for this purpose: "The husband and wife crossed the bridge, and the husband sang the wife and sang the husband and wife; The wife and husband will finish the great cause, and Changhong will cross things from generation to generation. " Others have compiled the story of the couple building a bridge into a Sichuan opera, which has been performed all over Sichuan and even in Beijing and Shanghai.

Dujiangyan is a world cultural heritage (listed as "World Cultural Heritage" by UNESCO in 2), a world natural heritage (giant panda habitat in Sichuan), a national key cultural relic protection unit, a national scenic spot and a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction.

Dujiangyan is located in the west of Dujiangyan City, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, and on the Minjiang River in the west of Chengdu Plain. It was built in the last year of King Zhao of Qin Dynasty (about 256 BC-251 BC). It is a large-scale water conservancy project organized by Li Bing and his son, the prefect of Shu County, on the basis of the excavation of previous turtle spirits. Dujiangyan Scenic Area mainly includes Fulongguan, Erwang Temple, Anlan Suoqiao, Yuleiguan, Lidui Park, Yuleishan Park, Yunv Mountain, Lingyan Temple, Puzhao Temple, Cuiyue Lake and Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Project.

On August 13th, 218, the 69th session of the International Executive Council of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage was held in Saskatoon, Canada, and the plenary meeting of the Council announced the 218 (fifth batch) World Irrigation Project Heritage List. Four projects, including Dujiangyan in China, were successfully declared.
