Notes on North Korea tourism, how much is a trip to North Korea?
1, how much is it?
I chose to travel from Dandong for four days by train. The route is "Pyongyang-Miaoxiangshan-Panmunjom-Kaesong"
The total quotation is 2560 yuan. I just looked at the travel agency I signed up for last time. Now the offer is 2890 yuan, which has increased the price. The travel agency I reported paid the money on the spot, without remittance in advance. As long as you pay the full amount before you leave, you won't be cheated. If you watch Arirang's performance, you have to pay for 800 yuan. In addition, there are no self-funded projects. Of course, if you want to buy some ginseng, books, stamps, souvenirs and postcards, you have to spend your own money.
2. Can I carry mobile phones, cameras, notebooks, USB flash drives and other items?
Ordinary card cameras and micro-cameras are certainly no problem, and small-lens SLR can also be carried. Please confirm your belongings with the tour guide of the travel agency in advance. In addition, try not to bring English newspapers and magazines. I saw a pile of confiscated English newspapers and magazines at the customs. If you are not allowed to bring a mobile phone, it is recommended to bring your own watch to record the time.
3. How to arrange the itinerary?
If possible, it is strongly recommended that you choose the mode of train return, because all the planes of Air Koryo are from the former Soviet Union, and the safety of the planes is really worrying. Besides, I only went to North Korea to meet people. It flies faster, so I can't see anything.
I came back by train and witnessed MIG 19 flying at low altitude. In broad daylight, MIG 19 is as bright as a star. My jaw is about to fall off. I wonder which madman opened the exhibits in the museum!
Moreover, "Pyongyang-Miaoxiangshan-Panmunjom-Kaesong" is only a reference route. If there are major adjustments, visitors will be informed in advance. For example, when I went, the road to Miaoxiangshan was washed away by the flood in North Korea, and it was not repaired for more than a month (I personally expressed serious doubts). Before leaving the country, China Travel Agency informed tourists that Miaoxiangshan would visit Nanpu Xihai Sluice instead.
On the first day of the four-day trip, meet at eight o'clock, slowly cross the China border and transfer to the bus to cross the bridge. Then slowly cross the Korean border and take a bus to Sinuiju Railway Station. This is usually 12. The train should leave at 12:00 and arrive at Pyongyang Railway Station around 18:00. In fact, there will always be delays. On the return trip, you will basically arrive at Pyongyang Railway Station around 10:00 in the morning and return to Dandong before 17: 00 in the afternoon. How to arrange the intermediate trip depends on the temporary decision of the DPRK, and the schedule provided by the Chinese travel agency is for reference only.
4. Passport: At the border, China Customs will check your passport and stamp your exit, but North Korea will not leave any trace. Everyone's name, passport number and other information will be signed on the group visa, which can be discarded after use to avoid the trouble of tourists entering and leaving other countries.
5. How to spend? In theory, foreigners can only spend money in "foreign shops" run by the North Korean government. Although all the price tags say the price of Ming coins, they are not exchanged with Korean coins. The price tag of Korean won is only for exchange reference. If you really take out Korean coins, you can't use them. I'll talk about the reason later. The common currency of all foreign shops in North Korea is RMB and Euro. Because the official exchange rate of RMB: Korean won in North Korea is 1: 14 or 1: 15, this exchange rate is extremely deceptive, and the goods converted at this price are not cheap. For example, a popsicle 5 yuan money, a bottle of yogurt 10 yuan.
6. Who can travel to North Korea? Everyone can go, including foreigners (Koreans can't say). In fact, there are Spaniards, Australians and overseas Chinese in Malaysia in this large group of Dandong Daily, and they can all pass the border inspection smoothly. It's just that Koreans who want to travel to North Korea need to give a week's notice in advance and submit more materials to the DPRK for review.
7. Will you be hungry? Although Korean civilians are relatively thin, the group meals provided are still ok. There will be chicken, bean products, sliced white meat, fried fish and various vegetables, beer and carbonated drinks. Ordinary people are never hungry, so there is absolutely no need to bring instant noodles, mustard tuber, bread and lunch meat across the border.
8. What's the hotel accommodation environment like? The TV station of Yang Jiao Hotel broadcasts nine channels, namely Central 1, Central 2, Phoenix News Channel, Phoenix Chinese Channel, Xinjiang Channel, BBC, French Channel, Russian Channel and North Korea Channel. But these channels are only open to tourists, and even the guide room can't be seen. Pyongyang broadcasts four local channels, namely Pyongyang Channel, Wanshoutai Channel, Youth Channel and College Students Channel. There is hot water in the bath, but it is said that the floor drain is not very good. Yangjiao Island Hotel is very general, not exceeding the level of domestic three-star hotels.
9. Can I send a postcard? The postcards you sent in North Korea can be sent back to China, and the girls in the same trade successfully sent them back to China. Postcards can be sent in Pyongyang or Panmunjom, but it takes a long time and there is also the risk of loss.
The real consideration,
All of the above are from staple food, and the travel society told you. It's no use. I said the following is the real attention:
1, you can prepare several packs of cigarettes, and if you make a mistake, you can take out cigarettes to bribe North Korean staff.
2. Starting from Sinuiju Railway Station, the North Korean tour guide will come to pick up the delegation and help lead the team. But the North Korean tour guide disappeared as soon as he got on the bus, and everyone brought a small box with 6-8 people. It is forbidden to take photos when the train is running, but tourists can take photos secretly because they are sitting in boxes isolated from Koreans, so pay attention to safety. Don't be found by the stewardess in gray patrolling back and forth. If found, the camera will be temporarily detained and all photos will be cleared. This is no joke. The little girl in the box next to us was found out because she was not rigorous in taking pictures, so the DPRK confiscated the SLR. Fortunately, my brother took out his cigarette in time ... but the photos were all emptied.
3. Reason 2: It is recommended that friends who travel bring an SD card.
Don't throw candy, stationery and other things at North Korean children when taking the train. North Korean receptionists will think this is an insult. Of course, if the reception staff of the DPRK is absent, it is recommended to vote more. The Korean grandfather in the same trade threw all the way, and the children on the roadside were very happy.
4. The China-DPRK Friendship Tower is a place that the DPRK will definitely show to China tourists. I suggest you bring something. I brought three apples and a bottle of wine when I went through the customs. Apples are placed under the monument, and wine is sprinkled among pine trees, so that the soldiers can taste the fruits and bars in their hometown.
Everyone in your group likes traveling very much. You can learn a lot by communicating with others.
PS: add a paragraph.
About changing Korean won and buying souvenirs:
As for the black market, it is said that someone has replaced it with a barbecue place in Pyongyang. I found a lot of state-owned stores, but I didn't change them. I changed them entirely by luck. Souvenirs are more expensive, such as the stamp album 100-300, but they must be true. In addition to alcohol and tobacco, the official shops in North Korea mainly sell bear bile, tiger bones, Niuhuang Jiedu pills and ginseng, but it seems to be fake. The tour guide does not recommend buying this kind of thing, because it may be confiscated if it is drawn at the border inspection. But it was an international train when I came back. We didn't even check in at the station, nor did we find the person in charge. There are stamps and coins here in Yalu River, but it's hard to say whether they are true or false. Just buy coins sold by the Yalu River for fun. It's an ancient Korean coin that North Korea can't use, and the number of small denominations is exactly the same (from roadside stalls to big shopping malls and memorial halls). I suspect that they are printed matter. The price of this "Korean currency" varies greatly, ranging from 60 yuan to 20 yuan. In addition, if you go to Dandong, you must pay attention! Meaning! People! Body! Ann. All of them! I almost got robbed the first hour I arrived in Dandong. Dandong is much more dangerous than North Korea.
Now let's put some pictures of North Korea and the summary of my trip in those days to relax everyone. If someone is willing to attack (si) Pyongyang (Zoo) at night, then continue to look down.
