Composition on a visit to Shuangta Temple

Tomb Sweeping Day is coming soon. In order to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs, all our students in school, wearing school uniforms and white flowers on their chests, took a tourist bus with reverence to Taiyuan Shuangta Temple to pay homage to the martyrs’ cemetery.

The car drove for about an hour and arrived at the Shuangta Temple Martyrs Cemetery. We first got off the bus in a neat queue, and then stood in line as required. Slowly entering the gate of the cemetery, the first thing you see is the tall pine and cypress trees, symbolizing the immortal revolutionary spirit of the martyrs. The pear trees are full of white flowers, symbolizing the pure and noble moral character of the martyrs.

We then held many activities, and the one that moved me most was the moment of silence for the martyrs. In those three minutes, I thought a lot. The martyr Dong Cunrui risked his own life in order to blow up the bridge to block the enemy, and sacrificed himself heroically with a pack of explosives on his body. Sister Liu Hulan, who was under fifteen years old, was upright and awe-inspiring in front of the enemy and would rather die than surrender. Sister Jiang laughed loudly at death, and her laughter made the palace of death shake...

Then we walked through the pine trees and arrived at the tomb of the martyrs. I performed a team salute and held the The white flowers were dedicated to the martyrs. At this moment, I said silently in my heart: "Rest in peace, martyrs. The motherland and the people will always miss you."

"Follow me quickly, let's visit the Memorial Hall of Comrade Gao Junyu "The tour guide's sister interrupted my thoughts.

I followed the team to the memorial hall, ah, what a majestic stone statue! Walking into the memorial hall, the relics of martyr Gao Junyu are stored, including models, handwriting, pictures, etc.

After coming out of the memorial hall, the tour guide introduced us to the Twin Towers. In the past, the Twin Towers were the tallest landmark buildings in Taiyuan City. Standing on the highest point of the tower, you can see the whole of Taiyuan City. There are two towers, the taller one has thirteen floors and the shorter one has eleven floors. It is said to have been built in the Ming Dynasty and has a history of hundreds of years.

Through this visit to the graves, I learned the stories of many martyrs. At the same time, I also learned how to cherish this hard-won golden childhood.
