Pingzheng Gelao Township is a comprehensive self-service tourist attraction based on Gelao culture and ethnic customs, supplemented by natural ecological landscape and Buddhist culture (the sixth Gelao sage Huineng). There are Gelao ethnic groups in the scenic area Traditional houses, Gelao folk customs, traditional Gelao dishes, dry-walled Gelao hanging coffins, "Tianqi Cave" in Licun, Panlongshan Stepping Temple, Tianbaoshan Buddhist culture, Blackfoot Cliff Red Army Cave and waterfalls, Panshui River Scenery, thousand-year-old ginkgo, etc.

Over the past 50 years since the founding of New China, the local administrative system has undergone several changes, but Pingzheng Gelao Township has long existed. The Pingzheng Gelao people in Zunyi County have a unique national culture, such as offering cakes to greet their ancestors before and after the Spring Festival, lighting up lanterns, worshiping trees and Zitong's lanterns on the third day of the Lunar New Year, and singing Yang Opera; The Wine Cooking Festival on the ninth day of September, the Gelao Festival in October, the Ox King Festival, the "Laba Festival" in the twelfth lunar month, etc. In order to develop these long-standing ethnic folk cultures, Zunyi City plans to designate Pingzheng Gelao Township as a Gelao cultural village tourism demonstration site.
