In addition to celebrating traditional festivals with the Han people, the Lahu people in the town also have the Horse Day Dragon Festival Festival in February, and also pay attention to the "Eighth Festival of February" and "Torch Festival on June 24th".

The dragon sacrifice is held in the dragon forest and under the dragon tree, hosted by the dragon head. The whole village must participate. Starting from the first horse day, prepare the necessary wine and meat. On the second horse day, dragon sacrifice is officially held. Dragons are divided into male and female. Demarcate boundaries in the village to honor male and female. The male dragon sacrifices pigs, and the female dragon sacrifices chickens. The male dragon sacrifices the boar, and the female dragon sacrifices the hen. The male dragon sacrifices the sow, and the female dragon sacrifices the rooster. After the sacrifice, everyone in the village shared it.

The Dai people in the town celebrate the Dai New Year, which is held ten days after the Qingming Festival for the Han people. Historically, it was called "flower arrangement" or "flower picking". Han people often say: "Lao Pai arranges flowers" to celebrate the festival. The name "Water Splashing Festival" has no historical records in the town. This name came after 1980, when it was moved from a Dai settlement in another county.

The period from July 15th to October 15th in the ancient calendar is the Close-Door Festival, and Buddha and monks are not allowed to go out to eat or sleep. The Dai people took turns cooking and serving them. Elderly people over 50 years old go to Myanmar Temple to listen to scriptures.

The fifteenth day of August is called the Lantern Festival, and more than a thousand small lanterns are installed in the Myanmar temple. Each household takes turns lighting lamps and spending the night. The next morning, I lit a torch and returned home.

The Steamed Bun Festival is held on September 30th. Every household goes to the fields to call for spirits, brings back ears of grain and puts them on rice heads, and then goes to the temple to drip water.

On the 7th to 15th day of the lunar month in winter, a flagpole is planted, with more than four feet of trees or two bamboos, two feet of white cloth hung, and lanterns hung. Elderly women go to the Burmese Temple to light lanterns at night. It is intended to commemorate the death of Sakyamuni's mother.

Half Moon Festival

Boshan people commonly call it "picking up the ancestors", which means "picking up and sending off" in the first and middle of the seventh month of the lunar calendar. There is no test on when this festival was established. According to legend, here, the underworld has a holiday, and the souls of the dead can go home and visit. There are two ways to do this festival. First, the elderly in the family who have died of illness less than a year ago are commonly called "newly deceased". Usually on the first day of the seventh lunar month, tea and wine are served on the plate, rice is served outside the door, and a mantra is chanted to take the ancestors home. Set up a table at the side of the main hall of your home, place flowers and fruits on the table, and light candles. The tea and rice are sacrificed on the table for a while before people eat them, and then they eat. Don't give it away until fourteen or fifteen. Most people pick them up on the morning of July 14th and drop them off after dinner or the next evening. When it is presented, a table of vegetables and rice should be set up in the courtyard. After the presentation, people can eat. After the meal, paper money and incense are burned outside the door, a few dishes are taken, a few fruits are smashed and thrown outside the door, meaning that the ghosts can take them away.
