What is it like to live in a tourist attraction?
Let me share something. My home is not a tourist attraction, but my school is! As a college student, having food, accommodation and study all at school should give you a deeper experience than being at a tourist attraction at home!
My university is Wuhan University, which is said to be the most beautiful university in China. Maybe it's because there are relatively old buildings in the school, and the school has Luojia Mountain and an ancient teaching building, which makes it look very historical. Moreover, in March and April every year, cherry blossoms are in full bloom. There is a road in Wuhan University called Cherry Blossom Avenue. The roadside is full of cherry blossom trees. When the cherry blossoms are in bloom, this road looks particularly beautiful. The ancient building next to the road is called Sakura Castle, which is actually a dormitory building. . .
This is the background, and then I will talk about my feelings.
Let’s talk about non-holidays first. On ordinary weekends, surrounding families would come to our school lawn with their families to bask in the sun, have picnics, play board games, and visit the campus. It was a great time. By the way, there is a large piece of grass in front of our library, and many people fly kites there. Every time I see it, I silently think, do you still want me to study hard? Damn I miss home so much. . .
As for holidays, the May 11th Golden Week, and the Cherry Blossom Festival, there will be a lot of people in the school. In order to limit the number of visitors, the school adopted a policy of charging tickets at 20 yuan per person during the Cherry Blossom Festival, but there were still many people. We students rely on their student ID cards to get in and out, but we still have to line up to get in and out, which is quite inconvenient. Moreover, many tourists are not civilized. When we look at the campus that we usually care for, being moved up and down by these tourists, throwing garbage, and pulling branches, we are really angry. Moreover, they will run into our teaching building to take pictures. . . It feels like it extremely disturbs our normal study and life.
So, school and home are scenic spots, which is not a good thing. A good life has been disrupted.
Thinking about it this way, when we travel to those ancient villages or beautiful places, will the locals also hate us?
