The College of Resources, Environment and Tourism of Capital Normal University was founded in 1954, majoring in geography, and was renamed the College of Resources, Environment and Tourism in July 2006. In the subject evaluation of national colleges and universities, our college ranks in the top of the country in geography 10. It has formed a high-level talent training platform represented by the National Experimental Teaching Center, the National Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center, the National Key Laboratory Training Base and the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education, a high-level teaching team represented by the national excellent teaching team, academicians and Jie Qing, and an international talent training environment represented by UNESCO Chair, double degree and overseas training.

Close cooperation with UNESCO, ESA, USGS, Russian Academy of Engineering and other institutions. 20 13 has cooperated with the University of Waterloo, ITC of Twente University, Northern Illinois University, Buffalo College of new york State University, etc. Carry out the joint training of undergraduate and graduate students; Since 20 14, three undergraduate majors, namely, geographic information science, remote sensing science and technology, and geographic science (Normal University), have been selected into the overseas training plan of Beijing.
