China’s entry visa to Malaysia and matters needing attention
Things to note when entering Malaysia with a Chinese passport, these are what you need to know now. After all, these are extraordinary times. In fact, it is relatively easy to enter Malaysia, and the documents and precautions for visa application are relatively easy.
Among Southeast Asian countries, Malaysia is still accepting various forms of visas normally, and entry and exit control measures are not as strict as some countries' policies that prohibit the entry of tourists from all over China. Today I would like to share with you the latest Malay entry policy, as well as common centralized Malay visas and precautions.
According to the National Immigration Bureau’s “Country (Region) Temporary Entry Adjustment Measures Inquiry” applet, it was discovered at 10:40 today, March 9, 2008, that Malaysia still imposes entry controls on Chinese tourists. Let me sort out the specific control contents as follows:
Malaysian citizens from China, Hubei, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu are prohibited from entering. Generally reflected in the place of birth and the place of passport issuance. Regardless of nationality, people who have been to Hubei, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu within 14 days are not allowed to enter Malaysia within 14 days.
If your passport shows that your place of birth is Hubei, Zhejiang, or Jiangsu, but you have not been to these places in the past half month, the Malaysian Immigration Bureau has the right to further inquire and check your air tickets, and generally make a health declaration required by the customs It is reflected in the above and submit the itinerary within 2-3 months to judge the past flight record. After all, you won't be able to find out just by asking you to go to a dark room, so don't take any chances.
Everyone entering the country must undergo a temperature check at the international port of entry, and those denied entry will have their airlines arrange subsequent return. Malay Customs itself will refuse entry to tourists for various reasons. Due to the epidemic, tourists may be refused entry if they have abnormal body temperature or physical abnormalities during this period.
Currently, the Singapore-Malaysia border crossing in Johor Bahru, Malaysia has been closed to Chinese citizens. So, you cannot go from Malaysia to Singapore by land. If you want to travel to Singapore or a third country, Chinese citizens can choose to depart from Johor Bahru or Kuala Lumpur Airport in Malaysia.
All residents of Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Hubei who enter Sabah, Malaysia, regardless of visa, direct flight, or transit, are prohibited from entering Sabah. All Chinese tourists holding tourist visas are prohibited from entering Sabah, whether direct flights or transit; Chinese citizens holding Sabah work permits, student visas and other permanent residence permits (except Hubei, Zhejiang and Jiangsu) must stay at home for 14 days after entering Sabah; Sabah Major cities and attractions: Kota Kinabalu, Semporna, Sandakan, Sabahtan, etc.
For entry into Sarawak, Malaysia, all Chinese citizens and foreigners who have visited China in the past 14 days are prohibited from entering Sarawak. Except for foreigners holding work visas, study visas and long-term residence permits, they must stay at home for 14 days.
Port of entry checkpoints: Starting from March 5, all automatic checkpoints and electronic checkpoints at all ports in Malaysia will be temporarily closed, and all tourists must go through manual counters for entry and exit procedures.
During the epidemic, Malaysia’s visa policy for China has basically remained unchanged, and electronic visas have not been canceled or delayed. Therefore, the following information about visa processing also applies to non-epidemic periods. Of course, I will update if the policy changes.
First of all, let me explain the so-called visa on arrival in Malaysia. It can be seen from the Chinese consular service website and some media propaganda that Malaysia has a visa-on-arrival policy for China. The details are as follows: "Chinese tourists holding ordinary passports can travel at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 1 and 2, Penang International Airport, Johor Bahru Batu International Airport, Kuching International Airport in Sarawak, Kota Kinabalu International Airport, Kedah Hei Apply for a 15-day visa on arrival at Musan Immigration Checkpoint, Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia International Airport, Sungai Dujiu Immigration Checkpoint, Sarawak, Rabin Ferry Terminal, and Serang Ishubang Sultan Azar International Airport. Applicants must arrive in Malaysia from Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore or Thailand and present US$500 in cash, check or credit card, debit card or other electronic currency recognized by Malaysia.”
Keywords for this policy. It is "limited port", "stay period is 15 days", "visa fee on arrival", "needs to arrive in Malaysia from Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand", and shows "USD 500 in cash, check or credit card or debit recognized by Malaysia card or other electronic money", so these points need to be met at the same time to apply for a visa on arrival. This also means that if you are coming from a country other than Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand, you must have a visa.
Secondly, let’s talk about the visa-free entry paper entri, which is always mistaken for visa-free. In the conventional sense, visa-free means entry and stay with a passport and a policy similar to a round-trip air ticket. Strictly speaking, Malays cannot just pick up their passports and leave. The so-called visa-free policy requires tourists to apply for entri before entering the country and print it out and present it with their passport. It is currently the most commonly used visa for ordinary domestic tourists.
Materials: Scanned copy of passport homepage, ID card photo, real electronic version of round-trip air ticket, Malay address and phone number, domestic address and phone number.
How to apply: The travel agency must submit it by itself or go to the electronic website to apply.
Submission fee: The official fee is CNY160, and generally travel agencies charge a small service fee. Generally, travel agencies can apply even if they do not provide air tickets.

Stay time: 15 days
Number of entries: single entry
Processing time: no risk of visa rejection, You can get it right away.
Notes:
1. Each passport number can only apply for entri once every 45 days. Once payment is submitted, the information cannot be changed and a new application must be made. However, at this time, it is impossible to apply for a new entri immediately. The deadline for processing is December 31, 2008. Entri that has not been used after December 31, 2008 and is still within the validity period can continue to be used.
2. Admission requirements
(1) Passengers can fly directly to Malaysia from China (including Hong Kong and Macau).
(2) Passengers can also fly directly from China (including Hong Kong and Macau) and enter Malaysia via Singapore, Thailand or Brunei (only one of them can be transferred).
(3) Entry by air is not limited to ports, and can be entered from all airports in Malaysia.

F. Immigration Checkpoint in Taitengan, Sarawak.
The third type of visa is the truly electronic signature EVISA. Tourists can apply for EVISA online, print EVISA when entering the country, and present it with their passport. Suitable for applicants who have confirmed itinerary, stay for more than 15 days, depart from China, and have insufficient processing time.

Number of entries: There is a risk of visa rejection once, and there is no limit on entry and exit.
Processing time: about 2-3 working hours
Handling fee: The consulate charges 280 yuan/person, and the travel agency will charge a certain service fee.
The fourth type: Ordinary Malaysia single sticker, that is, the visa is affixed to the passport, and the pass rate is high. If the applicant refuses to apply for evisa, you can apply for a sticker;
Required information: Original passport 3.5*4.5 photo, white background.
Submission form: by travel agency.
Processing time: 3-5 hours (currently the Guangzhou Consulate only works 135 hours, so the processing time is extended accordingly)
Validity period: 3 months
Stay time : 30 days
Number of entries: single entry
Remarks: Hong Kong identity certificates can also be applied for, and the application process is similar. You need to provide more copies of your hometown return permit and ID card.
For example, it is not difficult to request other visa information multiple times in half a year or a year, but the price is very expensive. If necessary, discuss it together.
