Brief introduction of Changzhou ancient canal

Changzhou, a city built by the river, thrives on the river, forming a unique canal agriculture, economy and even society. The "vitality" that blends ancient and modern times and thrives constitutes the world cultural heritage of Changzhou Grand Canal.

Today's Changzhou ancient canal is becoming a tourist landscape corridor integrating scenic spots and historical and cultural landscapes.

Changzhou Ancient Canal starts from Biji Lane in the west and reaches Dongpo Park in the east, which keeps pace with Yanling Road, the most prosperous road in Changzhou. It is a classic tour route of the ancient canal. The round trip is about 10 km, and the journey is about 1.5 hours. The original ship is luxurious and classical, with comfortable environment. Sitting on the boat to enjoy the scenery and listening to the story on both sides of the Millennium Canal introduced by Wu Nong, the tour guide, is like stealing a half-day leisure and enjoying a happy life.

In the 100-meter-long alley, there are Piling Post Station, a great post station in the south of the Yangtze River, which is second only to Jinling Post Station in the Ming Dynasty, Huanghua Pavilion, one of the three official pavilions in Changzhou City in the Qing Dynasty, and eight scenic lights in the western suburbs of old Changzhou. Wenheng wears the moon and is known as the "old shop".

The most complete preserved Ming city wall in Changzhou, Xiyingmen, the largest commercial district in Changzhou, Lemmon Metropolitan International Commercial Street, the ancient temple of the Millennium-Tianning Temple, the first stupa in China-Tianning Pagoda, the landing of Dongpo, a great writer in the Northern Song Dynasty, and 13 rowing boat are quite quaint.
