There are dozens of caves in Xiantai Mountain, large and small, among which Liu Xiudong is the most spectacular. According to legend, at the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Wang Mang chased Liu Xiu and Liu Xiu hid in this cave. After Liu Xiu became the founding emperor of the Eastern Han Dynasty, later generations called him Liu Xiudong.

Liuxiu Cave is a major landscape in Xiantai Mountain. This cave is a huge natural niche cave, which is several feet high and divided into upper and lower floors. There is a clear spring in the upper layer of the cave all the year round, and the calcium carbonate in the spring has been deposited for many years, forming a lotus mountain with a height of more than 3 meters and a diameter of more than 5 meters, like a giant hibiscus flower. There are three small holes in the lower layer, which are connected with each other, and there are stalactites at the top of the cave, which are crystal clear as pearls.

There is an ancient temple next to Liu Xiudong, called Huguo Temple. This temple was built in the Tang Dynasty, flourished in the Song and Yuan Dynasties, and was severely damaged. Now the rebuilt Huguo Temple is resplendent and magnificent, which has the artistic conception of hiding ancient temples in the mountains.

In addition, there are three ancient Great Walls in Xiantai Mountain: the Warring States, the Western Han Dynasty and the Northern Qi Dynasty. The longest stone, the Great Wall, is ten kilometers off and on.
