Scenic spots in Qijiang district

Chongqing Qijiang National Geopark, Dingshan Lake, Dongxi Ancient Town, Gujianshan Scenic Area, Wansheng Ordovician Park, etc.

1. Chongqing Qijiang National Geopark: Located in the northern part of Qijiang District, it consists of three scenic spots, namely Wood Fossil, Eagle Mountain and Gujianshan, with a total area of 108 square kilometers. In 2009, it was awarded the National Geopark by the Ministry of Land and Resources.

2. Dingshan Lake: Located in Dingshan Town, Qijiang District, it is an alpine lake scenic tourist area integrating human landscape and natural landscape. The main attractions are Jinshan Temple, Hak-Rim Paek and Yugui Boundary Monument.

3. Dongxi Ancient Town: Located in the south of Qijiang District, formerly known as Wanshouchang, it was founded in the Tang Dynasty. In 2005, Dongxi Ancient Town was named as a famous historical and cultural town in Chongqing.

4. Gujianshan Scenic Area: Located in the west of Qijiang District, Chongqing, it is 50 minutes' drive from Qijiang/Kloc-0 and the main city of Chongqing. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction, the first batch of top ten municipal tourist resorts in Chongqing, the top ten most beautiful forest oxygen bars in Chongqing, and one of the "Twelve Scenes of Xinbayu" in Chongqing.

5. Wansheng Ordovician Park: Located in the core scenic spot of Heishan-Shilin scenic spot in Chongqing, at the central node of Wansheng tourism ring road, there is a world wonder of "there are stones in the forest, trees on the stones, and trees grow on the stones", which is known as the "green stone forest". The park features the "A-type Sky Gallery" with transparent glass on the bridge deck, which is located on a cliff nearly 300 meters high.
