Located in Pitang Village, Tangzhi Township. Originally established in Oda, it moved in the spring of 1932 and moved out in June of 1933. After liberation, Liu Changxi, deputy commander of Shaanxi Military Region, Liu Zongshun, deputy director of Hunan Forestry Department and other Red Army veterans studied here. The former site used to be Zero River Academy in Qing Dynasty, with two front and back buildings and wings on both sides, with a construction area of 2,200 square meters. After liberation, Lenin Primary School and Lenin Middle School established this school successively. Lenin Middle School keeps some textbooks, exercise books, letters and photos sent by the Soviet Union 1984. The provincial government and Xiangtan area have allocated funds for maintenance five times. After liberation, Comrade-wrote the name of the school.

The school was established at that time according to the instructions of the central Soviet government. From 65438 to 0930, in order to train the revolutionary children of workers and peasants and improve the overall quality of the revolutionary team, the central Soviet government issued instructions to the Soviet governments of Gejidi and Chaling counties in Jinggangshan to "train the children of workers and peasants and select and transport revolutionary military talents". In July, Chaling was founded here according to the instructions of the Central Soviet Area Government, and the earliest Red Army school was established for China. At the beginning of the school, Chen Yi, Xiao Ke, Tan Yubao, Duan Suquan, Liu Daosheng and other revolutionary vanguard troops came to the school to guide the work. Later, due to the launch of the fifth anti-encirclement campaign, this school only ran for three semesters, and * * * trained more than 160 outstanding talents for the Red Army.

In the early days of the founding of New China, the provincial government and Xiangtan District allocated funds for school maintenance five times. Subsequently, Lenin primary school and Lenin middle school set up this one after another. 1958, the school was changed to Chaling Lenin Middle School, which was listed as a municipal cultural relics protection unit by Zhuzhou Municipal Government. In the early 1980s, Lenin Middle School in Chaling formed a sister school with No.2 Boarding School on Riverside Street in Kalameshevsky, Moscow, Soviet Union. Established contact with Lenin Central Museum in Moscow, and Lenin Museum presented Lenin's photos and hundreds of thousands of words of Lenin's selected works and materials to the school.

The former Red Army School has become the cradle of today's talents. Over the past 75 years, the school has exported more than 1 1000 talents to the society, which has made great contributions to China's national liberation and social construction, and has successively trained a large number of outstanding talents.

In recent years, with the rise of tourism, the earliest Red Army School in China has become an important red tourist attraction in Chaling. Because the scenic spot is close to Ninggang, Jiangxi, where Jinggangshan is located, and the National Red Tourism Boutique Line 8 passes by, there are many tourists who usually come here to travel. In 2005, Chaling County invested 300,000 yuan to expand the school and build Lenin School.
