Lingquan Temple, located on Yuemei Mountain in the eastern suburb of Keelung, originated from Yongquan Temple in Fujian. It was founded in the 24th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1898) and took ten years to complete. It is an important birthplace of Buddhism in northern Taiwan Province Province and is known as one of the three Dojo in Taiwan Province Province. There are many precious Buddhist relics in the temple. The scenic Zhoushan Linquan was founded by Master Shanhui.
Lingquan Temple covers an area of more than 20 hectares. The temple buildings, including Buddha Hall, Zen Hall, Tianwang Hall, Kaishan Hall and Lingta, all follow the traditional norms of Zen temples. Unfortunately, the temple has been renovated, reducing the original beauty of simplicity, but because it is located in the deep mountains, quiet and elegant, and there is a Buddhist college, many college students come here to meditate and retreat every year. Gangziliao Fort is a second-class monument of Taiwan authorities, which belongs to Guansai. Located at Gangziliao Section 107,10712, Xinyi District, Keelung City, it was built in Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty.
Gangziliao Fort is located in the northeast of Keelung City, between Shenaokeng in Xinyi District and the mountains at the junction of Zhongzheng District. It has existed since the Qing Dynasty, and its fortifications were renovated during the Japanese occupation. After the war, the army was brought into the control area of the port fortress and released after the martial law was lifted. As far as its historical and architectural value is concerned, it is not inferior to other fortress monuments.
Gangziliao Fort is a second-class monument of Taiwan Province provincial authorities, and the remains of the fort area are well preserved, including sentries, social halls, camps, command posts, bunkers, tunnels, ammunition depots, machine gun positions, gun panels and reservoirs. Linear, made of Anshan rock and iron cement. Walking along the stone steps on the right side of the battery area and standing on the ridge line overlooking, you can see the whole picture of Keelung Island and the fishing port overlooking Badouzi. The scenery is pleasant and magnificent.
There are six cannons in the gun panel area, which are arranged in a row and placed in three gun panel areas in pairs. There is an ammunition depot in the middle, the wall is one meter thick, there is a conveying channel between the machine gun position and the ammunition depot, and there is a communication hole between the observation platform and the gun plate, which is not available in other batteries in Keelung. The battery has a 360-degree gun track, and the shooting angle can be freely selected, which is rare in other batteries. A semi-circular tunnel is built between the camp and the artillery plate area for two people to walk side by side. There are independent water storage wells and filter ponds in the camp and the artillery pot area.
Gangziliao Fort and Baimion Fort are the horns of each other, and they are the left and right guards of the former port area to defend the safety of the foreign port. In addition, go straight through the battery area, and there are quite complete battery areas on both sides. Being in it, you can appreciate the heroic spirit of Gangziliao Fort after many battles at that time.
