How to apply for a visa to Macau and where to apply
Materials required to apply for a travel permit to and from Hong Kong and Macao and personal endorsement:

Required information:

Procedures:
1. Bring the required information and go to the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau where your household registration is located.
2. The applicant goes to the acceptance window for consultation. Receive and fill out the "Application Form for Chinese Citizens to Travel to Hong Kong and Macao for Private Purposes".
3. Take photos. According to the requirements for document production, the applicant shall take photos in person at the digital photography point designated by the acceptance agency or the Public Security Bureau.
4. The applicant goes to the acceptance window to submit materials for verification (forms, copies of ID card and household register, photos) and receive the "Reply Receipt".
5. The certificate will be issued 10-15 working days after acceptance

Article 6 Mainland citizens traveling to Hong Kong or Macau for private matters must report to The application shall be submitted to the exit and entry administration department of the municipal or county public security bureau where the household registration is located.
Article 9 Mainland citizens who apply to travel to Hong Kong or Macao for private matters must answer relevant inquiries and complete the following procedures:

(3) Submit the opinions of the employer on the applicant’s trip to Hong Kong and Macau;

Article 11 When an application for traveling to Hong Kong or Macao is accepted by the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ, a decision of approval or disapproval shall be made within sixty days and the applicant shall be notified.
Article 12 Mainland citizens who have been approved to settle in Hong Kong or Macao shall be issued a pass to Hong Kong and Macao by the exit and entry administration department of the public security organ. Holders of the certificate should cancel their household registration at the local police station before traveling to Hong Kong or Macao, and travel to Hong Kong or Macao within the specified time. Mainland citizens who are approved to travel to Hong Kong and Macau for a short period of time will be issued a travel permit to and from Hong Kong and Macau. The holder of the certificate must go within the specified time and return on time.

Article 9 Chinese citizens shall apply for passports or other travel documents in accordance with the law when leaving or entering the country. Chinese citizens traveling to other countries or regions also need to obtain a visa or other entry permit from the country of destination. However, this does not apply unless the Chinese government has signed a mutual visa exemption agreement with the governments of other countries or if the Ministry of Public Security or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides otherwise.
