What kind of people is Galicia in Spain?
The ethnic origin and national history of Galicians are roughly the same as those of Portuguese and Spanish. They are descendants of ancient Iberians and have been influenced by Celts, Romans, Germans and Arabs in different historical periods. The difference is that the original tribe, as the direct ancestor of Galician, is Garlake, which is similar to the Lusitan tribe, the ancestor of Portuguese. Galicians are located in remote mountainous areas in northwest China, and their economic development is relatively backward. Most of them are engaged in agriculture, animal husbandry and fishery. Many people have left their homes to work as temporary workers in the Basque country and Castilla, and many people have moved abroad to make a living. Galicians have been carrying out national movements since the 19th century and have been fighting for equal rights. Local self-government has been implemented in accordance with the 1978 Constitution. Another 1 million Galicians are distributed in Latin American countries such as Argentina.
