St Petersburg (санктптербург) is located in the northwest of Russia, bordering on the Baltic Sea, and is the capital of Leningrad and the second largest city in Russia after Moscow.

:: Zimniy Dvorets: Originally a Russian palace, it is now a part of hermitage museum. In front of the palace is the semi-circular General Staff Square and the Alexander Monument.

* Letny Dvorets: Located on the east side of the Winter Palace, it is a simple two-story building. There is an "engineer's fortress" in its affiliated garden, where Tsar Paul I was assassinated.

Petrodvorets: Formerly known as "Peterhoff", located in the Gulf of Finland, 29 kilometers west of St. Petersburg, is the summer palace of Peter the Great. The main buildings are the Bolshoy Theatre and the Mon plessy Theatre. This palace is famous for its fountain steps leading directly to the Gulf of Finland and many cleverly designed fountains in the garden.

* Oranienbaum: Located at 12km west of Peter Miyagi, it was built by Alexander Minskov, the favorite of Peter the Great and the mayor of St. Petersburg, and contains buildings such as the Grand Palace and China Palace.

* Tsarskoe Selo: Now known as Pushkin City, it is located 25 kilometers south of St. Petersburg and contains buildings such as Catherine Palace and Alexander Palace. The amber room in Catherine Palace was once known as "the eighth wonder of the world"

* pavlovsk: Located 30 kilometers south of St. Petersburg, it was built by Scottish architect Charles Cameron for Tsar Paul I. Its affiliated garden is the largest park in Russia and is known as "one of the best gardens in the world".

Gatchina: Located 50 kilometers south of St. Petersburg, it is the palace and military fortress of Tsar Paul I.

Tavricheskiy Dvorets: This is a gift from Catherine II to her lover potemkin.

* Marble Palace (Mramorny Dvorets)

* yusupovskiy Dvorets: Located beside the Moika Canal, it is the residence of Yusupov family. 19 16, the "evil monk" rasputin was murdered by royalists in this palace.

Isakiev Cathedral

* Isaakievskiy Sobor: the main church of the Russian Empire and the largest church in St. Petersburg. Named after Saint Isaac of Dalmatia, the patron saint of Romanov dynasty (his celebration day is the same as Peter the Great's birthday).

Sobor: It was built by Tsar Paul I after imitating St Peter's Cathedral in Rome. After the October Revolution, it became an "anti-religious museum".

* Chesmenskaya Tserkov, named after the battle of Cheshma in which the Russian fleet defeated the Turkish navy in 1770, has striking red and white stripes.
