Jin Xin's Me and Father and Son Jiang.

Whether in China or South Korea, the relationship between my family and Mr. Chiang Kai-shek is no secret. Without the full support of Mr. Chiang Kai-shek, it is difficult for the Korean independence movement to develop. 1933, Mr. Jiang contacted Chen and secretly met my father at Nanjing Huangpu Military Academy to discuss the anti-Japanese plan. The National Government allocated funds to support the Korean interim government, set up the Guangfu Army, and sent Korean anti-Japanese youths to Luoyang Military Academy for training. When we were in Chungking, China people's food and material supply was very difficult, but the National Government always guaranteed the activities and basic living expenses of the interim government of North Korea, and we were no longer so embarrassed as when we were in the French Concession. It can be said that the provisional government of the Republic of China could not survive without the support of the Korean government and people, and without Mr. Jiang's foresight and kindness. 1938, my father was seriously injured by militants of the independence movement in Changsha and was sent to Xiangya Hospital for emergency treatment. The doctor thought there was little hope and gave up the rescue. At this time, Mr. Jiang knew and ordered Zhang Zhizhong, chairman of Hunan Province, to save Jin Jiu's life at all costs. Take care of your father three times a day. General Zhang Zhizhong personally went to the hospital to offer condolences. Father can turn the corner without Mr. Jiang's help. Afterwards, Mr. Jiang also sent someone to bring a huge amount of solatium. It was also a special instruction from the national government that I was admitted to the middle school attached to CUHK. The Second Historical Archives of China holds the document that Chen Lifu, then Minister of Education, instructed the secondary school affiliated to CUHK to receive 10 children of Korean independence leaders free of charge.

1936, participated in the national summer camp of Nanjing Xiaoling Guards, and was reviewed. That was the first time I met Mr. Chiang Kai-shek. I never dreamed that I could often talk face to face with him and become friends who have never forgotten. During the period of 1957, I served as the air force operations minister and went to Taipei with the army chief of staff, General Li Henggen. Mr. Jiang received our party. When we left, Mr. Jiang suddenly said, "Jin Xin, you stay and we will take a picture." I stood next to Teacher Jiang and took a group photo as a souvenir. This is the first time I have taken a photo with him alone, which is very precious. A few years later, I visited Taiwan Province Province as the air force commander. Mr. Jiang personally decorated me and asked Mr. Jiang Jingguo to accompany me to visit Kinmen Island. Later, when I was appointed as the ambassador to Taiwan Province Province, I had more opportunities to meet Mr. Jiang. I remember that I went to Taipei for two or three weeks and was not arranged to submit my credentials. I am very anxious. If Mr. Jiang hadn't met me again, I wouldn't have been able to catch up with the "Double Tenth Festival" celebration, and my heart was full of doubts. The day before "Double Ten", Teacher Jiang accepted my credentials. Only then did I find out that he was ill, and he was very ill, and his lips were covered with blisters. He met me and got sick. He said to me: Ambassador Kim, your father is my friend. You and I have an extraordinary relationship. If you want to see me in the future, you can come directly to my official residence without going through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

I am in Taiwan Province Province, and Teacher Jiang takes good care of me. Our relationship is really special. He has no scruples about what I say. He often calls me to chat with him. It will last for several hours. To tell the truth, not to mention that my position is different from his, and my age is not the same. What's more, I have always regarded him as the benefactor of our Kim family. If he hadn't ordered the rescue of my father, my father would have died long ago. Teacher Jiang is very kind and trusting to me, and often asks me about things outside. Several times he asked me to go to Shilin's residence, and he sent his secretary and guards. We talk happily together, and he often laughs loudly. When I left, the secretary and the waiter said that the old man had been depressed for many days and had not laughed like this for a long time. Mr. Hao Bochun, the bodyguard, said, Ambassador Jin, he will be very happy if you come to play more in the future. Later, all the party, government and army dignitaries knew that I could meet Mr. Jiang directly, so they respected me very much, and some even asked me about the promotion.

He is an understanding person. Once in Shilin's official residence, he left me alone to chat, and the secretary and guards all stepped down. After talking for three or four hours, I still didn't feel tired. I'm embarrassed to say that I'm in a hurry and a little nervous. When Mr. Jiang saw it, he gestured with his hand: "Jin Xin, do you want to call it quits?" Please press there. "-Jiang's bathroom is very secret. If he didn't show it to me, I thought it was a wall! In his later years, he became more lonely. Mr. Guo Jing once told me that I should come to play often and take care of me. There are some things outside that don't need the old man to know, and he will be annoyed if he knows. I know all this. In his later years, the old man didn't believe what others said, and he always thought that others would cheat him, and that "it's easy to cheat, but difficult to cheat"-this is what he told me himself, and I think it makes sense. I have established good relations with Mr Lao Jiang, Mr Guo Jing and other senior officials of the Kuomintang. I have been stationed in Taiwan Province Province for more than 8 years. Every year, when commemorating the recovery of 8 15, the embassy holds a reception, attended by Jiang, other party, government and army dignitaries. In my speeches, I always first mention the history of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression between the people of North Korea and China. After the Japanese embassy officials left, the audience always applauded warmly again. -The sufferings of the people of North Korea and China in the past should not be forgotten by each of us!

In those years, I was often invited to visit senior people in Taiwan Province Province. As an ambassador, I am concerned about the economic development of Taiwan Province Province and their politics. After the Kuomintang retreated to Taiwan Province Province, there was some introspection within the Party. Jiang held several meetings in Taiwan Province Province to review the mistakes. At that time, the economy was developing well, and Jiang was also very close to the top. When I visited Bai Chongxi, Wang Shuming, Huang Jie and other senior generals, I found that their houses were very humble, their meals were only three or four dishes, and their lives were relatively poor. The efficiency of government departments is relatively high and the society is relatively stable (of course, this is related to the implementation of martial law). But in his later years, Mr. Jiang didn't seem to trust the people around him, and his self-confidence was a little shaken. I clearly remember that one year when he learned that park chung-hee was visiting the United States, he asked me to tell President Park to ask Nixon what Americans thought of him.

1969, President park chung-hee visited Taiwan Province Province, and Mr. Jiang wanted to have a secret talk with him. I told him that President park chung-hee couldn't speak Chinese, and he said, "Then be an interpreter!" I told park chung-hee that he was surprised and said, "How can a foreign ambassador be an interpreter? He is so close to you! " The content of Jiangpu's secret talk is not only of interest to people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, but also to Korean historians. However, both of them have passed away for many years, and I am the only "translation ambassador" left in the world. I don't think it's appropriate for me to reveal the inside story.

I have an unusual relationship with the Chiang family and my father and son. Later, the Korean side made a fuss and everyone thought of sending me to mediate. One year there was a drought in South Korea, which was also a presidential election. The government asked me to find a way to import rice from Taiwan Province Province. I am very embarrassed, because I know that Taiwan Province Province has also suffered from drought and poor harvest, so I prepared rations in an extraordinary period. Koreans only eat Penglai rice with high viscosity, and only Taiwan Province rice can solve the problem. I went to see Mr. Chen Cheng, Vice President and Executive Dean, and he also found it difficult. He suggested that I talk to Mr. Jiang myself. Mr. Jiang considered the problem very carefully, knowing that I was embarrassed to open this mouth unless I had to, so I personally arranged the turnover and sold about 200 thousand tons of rice to South Korea. Who knows, how difficult it was! I am so grateful that I don't know what to say. When I was about to leave, Mr. Jiang stopped me and said, "Ambassador Jin, I'm sorry, but these rice are still sold to you. If I were still in the mainland, this rice would be given to you ... "With this batch of rice, South Korea has weathered the storm. But I will never forget this sentence of Mr. Jiang, from which I can also get a glimpse of his mood in his later years.

During Quan Doo-hwan's reign, I had retired from politics. 1February, 987, a serious diplomatic incident involving the DPRK-Japan-ROK relations (which I will elaborate later in my memoirs) occurred, and Taiwan Province Province was needed as an intermediary. On the same day, my foreign minister consulted me and asked me to go to Taiwan Province Province immediately to find Mr. Guo Jing. I felt that only I could speak, so I went to Taipei that day. Mr. Shen and I are friends, too. As soon as he saw me, he asked, "As the special envoy of the President, do you have a letter of appointment?" I said I was in a hurry and had no time to do it. He refused, so he contacted Mr. Guo Jing. I think my face is very popular in Taipei. The next day. Mr Guo Jing met me, and a few minutes later, he agreed to our request voluntarily. I was relieved at once-he helped the Korean government a lot. At that time, the relationship between South Korea and Taiwan Province Province had become cold. I admire and am moved by Mr. Guo Jing's generosity.

1992 before the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea, the ROK considered sending me to Taipei to say hello. I feel embarrassed. The official thinks I am "the most suitable", but I think I am "the least suitable". I believe people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait will understand my complicated feelings. Mr. Jiang died in 1975 and Mr. Jiang died in 1987. I made a special trip to Taipei for the funeral. When I traveled to Xikou, Fenghua, I offered flowers and bowed at Chiang's ancestral hall, which attracted the attention of many tourists. Maybe they think I'm Taiwan Province Province. I really want to talk about my family's feelings for the Chiang family, but who else would be interested in such a story? Will it cause misunderstanding? I'm not sure.
