What about the transit visa? Do you need a transit visa for transit?
What is a transit visa? Transit visa refers to a visa for citizens to pass through a third country (region) when taking a vehicle after obtaining an entry visa from a certain country (region).
Long-term business trips often require a transfer in a third place overseas (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan). At this time, we need to be clear about whether we need to apply for a visa for a transit country or region.
What are the regulations of countries on transit? So which countries must apply for transit visas (even if they don't leave the airport restricted area), which countries can apply for transit visas (except landing visa visa-free countries), what are the regulations of Schengen countries on transit, and how do Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan transit? Come and meet Mr. Low Price ~

1, Japan (transfer to avoid overnight, only at Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) and Osaka Kansai Airport (KIX))
China passengers do not need to apply for transit visas or other types of entry visas, nor do they need to stay overnight if they transfer at the Japanese International Airport.
If you need to stay overnight, it depends on whether the airport is open 24 hours a day to decide whether you need to apply for an entry/transit visa. The only airports in Japan that are open 24 hours a day are Haneda Airport in Tokyo and Kansai Airport in Osaka.
Narita Airport, another important airport in Tokyo, can also transfer without a visa. However, it is worth noting that Narita Airport is not open 24 hours a day. If you need to spend the night at the airport, it is inevitable that you need a visa to leave the airport.
Note: The only airports open 24 hours a day in Japan are Haneda Airport and Kansai Airport.
2. South Korea (with the sword of "American visa", you can stay for up to 30 days)
China tourists who have a ticket to leave Korea within 72 hours, transfer at Incheon International Airport and participate in the transfer sightseeing project (Incheon Airport has a corresponding responsible window) can enjoy 72-hour visa-free access to the Korean capital area.
China tourists who hold visas from the following specific countries and leave the country within 30 days can stay in South Korea for 30 days without a visa, as follows:
① Go to the visa issuing country via Korea with a valid visa from the United States (except group visa), Canada, Australia (except electronic visa) or New Zealand.
② Direct flights from the United States, Canada, Australia (except e-visa) or New Zealand to South Korea, and then to China or a third country via South Korea.
(3) Holding a valid visa from any of the 30 European countries, going to the visa-issuing country via Korea or returning from the visa-issuing country via Korea (note: returning to China does not include going to a third country).
The 30 European countries here are Greece, Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Latvia, Romania, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Malta, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Slovakia, Iceland, Ireland, Estonia, Britain, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Portugal, Poland, France, Finland, Hungary and Slovenia.
In other words, you can travel from the United States via Seoul or China, and visit Seoul, Busan, Jinzhou and even Jeju Island within one week without a Korean visa (you need to provide air tickets/boat tickets to a third country within 30 days)! And the ticket price for connecting flight to Korea is also very affordable!
It should be noted that:
1. You can't stay in Korea for 30 days without a Japanese visa and a transfer ticket!
2. Those who go to Guam and Saipan and transit through South Korea, or those who go from Guam and Saipan to China or a third country through South Korea, can stay visa-free for up to 30 days (they must have a US visa).
3. You can enter Korea without a visa if you have an Australian sticker and a transfer ticket. Holding an Australian e-visa and a transfer ticket, you can return to Korea without a visa! Go on a journey!
3. China, Hongkong and Macau (transit signs are not required)
With valid air ticket from Hong Kong and Macao to a third country+China passport+third country visa, you can transfer in Hong Kong and Macao without a Hong Kong and Macao pass and stay in China for 7 days!
Note: A few countries, such as Australia and Singapore, currently use electronic visas. If you travel to these countries from Hong Kong, just print out the e-visa. If you transfer from Macao, you can't hold an electronic visa according to the regulations. To apply for a visa, you need to choose a sticker, and you must also provide a confirmation record of your arrival in Macao and a ticket confirmation form for flying to a third country.
4. Philippines (no transit visa required)
There is basically no need to apply for a transit visa when transferring in the Philippines. Generally, there are two conditions for transit visa exemption:
If you have a ticket to a third country and a valid visa for that country, you can apply for a three-day visit to landing visa.
② Holders of any valid visa from Schengen, Australia, the United States, Canada or Japan are directly exempt from the visa.
5. Singapore (you don't need to apply for a transit sign if you don't enter the country, and low-cost airlines need a transit sign! )
Theoretically, if you don't enter Singapore, you don't need to apply for a transit visa, but you can enjoy the 96-hour transit facility (VFTF) in Singapore with a valid visa from a developed country: you can leave the country within 96 hours and transfer to other countries or fly to Singapore from other countries.
However, if you take a low-cost airline and there is no special transfer counter in the dedicated terminal used by the low-cost airline, you need to check in at the departure boarding hall after entering the country and board the plane after customs inspection.
10 low-cost airlines that need transit visas: AirAsia, Indonesian AirAsia, Jetstar Asia, lion air, AirAsia Thailand, Air India Express, Cebu Pacific Airlines, Firefly Airlines, Scoot Airlines and Tiger Airways Xinfeng.
6. Thailand (transit signs need to be obtained in advance for connecting flights)
Thailand's transit visa requirements are particularly strict! The Thai government stipulates that people who only transit from Thailand to a third country, or China tourists who return from a third country via Thailand, must apply for a transit visa.
Moreover, it must be noted that transit visas must be handled at the Thai Embassy in China in advance, and cannot be handled on the spot in Thailand.
7. Malaysia (visa-free transit, as long as you have a third-country visa and air ticket)
If you buy a special ticket from AirAsia, many of them need to transfer in Kuala Lumpur, so Malaysia's transit visa is worthy of attention!
When transferring in Malaysia, you don't need to apply for a transit visa without leaving the airport. Moreover, AirAsia's joint flight tickets are all in KLIA2, so you can take the international transit channel directly, and you don't need to enter Malaysia or apply for a transit visa.

The scope of activities is limited to the airport transfer area. However, there is a problem that needs attention! It is necessary to find out in advance whether the transfer airport and the landing airport are the same. If they are different, you still need to apply for a transit sign! One * * * three international airports in Moscow!
If you need to transfer between different airports or cities in the same city in Russia, you must have a valid entry or transit visa. There is no way for Russian airports to apply for visas on arrival.
Note: Passengers going to Belarus or Kazakhstan via Russia must apply for a transit or entry visa no matter how long they stay. In addition, you have to apply for a transit visa to transit Russia by train.

You can stay in the UAE for 96 hours with a transit visa. But these 96 hours are not the time from arrival to departure, because both arrival and departure will be counted as 1 day (24 hours).

② The transit time is not less than 8 hours;

On July 9th, 20 18, China and Qatar formally signed an agreement on mutual visa exemption, but before it takes effect, both parties still need to apply for visas according to the existing regulations.

What should I pay attention to during transportation? There are two main types of visas involved in the travel process: transit visas and tourist visas. If there is only one transfer in this country, the transfer visa is enough; If you want to transfer more than twice, it is recommended to apply for a tourist visa.
