First, clothing.
1, regardless of spring, summer, autumn and winter, I will bring a professional hiking coat. Its unique base and coating make it windproof, waterproof, breathable and particularly durable. When it's cold, it's windproof, and it's folded in a bag as a raincoat in summer. As a coat, it is the best choice, especially in harsh environment. Only the hiking coat is expensive (authentic 1500-2500 yuan), and the brands are GORE-TEX, THE NORTH FACE, OZARK and so on. ). The above brands also have popular windbreakers, which are of good quality and much cheaper. It is also windproof, waterproof and breathable, but the coating is thin, the durability is slightly poor, and the functionality of adjusting clothes is poor. This is a coat.
2, the best choice for the warm layer is down jacket, but pay attention to it when choosing, pinch it with your hand to see if it is soft. I usually wear a down jacket under my assault suit, so the lighter the fabric, the smaller it can be folded (it takes up a small volume in my backpack). I chose an OZARK down jacket, which is light and soft, with good down-down, and can be folded into a small size after the air is exhausted. Fleece sweater is also a good warm clothing, which can be used with coat chain, which is very convenient. I also brought a windproof vest (windproof layer on one side and plush on the other) to increase the warmth.
3. Please don't choose cotton underwear. If you are active in cold places, cotton underwear is a killer. Therefore, you must choose professional sweat-wicking underwear, and try to choose close-fitting clothes with good sweat-wicking function even in warm seasons. I like to wear tennis shirts when traveling in summer. It has good perspiration function and good style.
4, pants I like to wear a pair of Nike training pants outside, windproof, waterproof and breathable (of course, the performance is not as good as pants), but the outside of the two trouser legs are all zipped, so you don't have to take off your shoes, sit down or even take off your backpack when it is very hot. Wool-catching pants are used as warm pants, and there is also a pair of tight pants with excellent perspiration function. I try not to wear shorts when traveling in summer, especially where there is water.
5. Hat: You must wear a hat when you go to a cold place, because more than 50% of the body's heat is lost from the head and neck. The duckbill hat doesn't work well in cold and windy places. I'm wearing a hat with fur and ear protection. I can loosen the rope and use it as a scarf. It is a good choice to wear a duckbill hat in a warm place.
6. Gloves: My player condom has three elements.
1, keep warm;
2, windproof and waterproof;
3. Wear resistance.
I use NIKKO's wrist-adjustable gloves with snow-proof lining, which can also prevent the wind from flowing backwards. NIKKO's big stuff doesn't work, but gadgets like gloves are still good. Don't spend a lot of money on genuine leather, it hurts when worn out. If you want to go to the snowy mountain, you need duck down gloves.
7. Shoes: What shoes to wear when going out depends on road conditions, seasons and hiking time. The more rugged the place, the harder the sole is, and it must be high-top, so as to protect the feet. Wearing soft-soled low-cut sneakers and walking on rugged mountain roads can only make your feet weak at the end of the day and easily sprain your ankles. Soft-soled sports shoes are light and flexible to wear, which can obtain good explosive power and make many technical moves, but they are usually only suitable for one or two hours of exercise; Hard-soled shoes are bulky and not very explosive, but they can effectively protect your feet and make you walk for a day without being sour.
You can see the difference by doing an experiment. Find a step, wear soft-soled shoes and hard-soled shoes respectively, and press the soles of your feet on the protruding outer corners of the step. Wearing soft-soled shoes will feel that the soles of the feet are under great stress, and the soles are deformed and sunken by the outer corners of the steps. If it is a hard-soled shoe, the sole will not deform, and the force acting on the center of the foot will be distributed to the whole sole on the hard sole. I usually go to places with bad road conditions. As long as the weather is not too hot, I usually wear hiking shoes. In order to prevent wet feet from being uncomfortable, I will bring two pairs of socks and insoles. Hiking shoes are good everywhere, but they are airtight. I will wear hiking shoes in summer (also high tops, but the soles are slightly softer than hiking shoes). Walking shoes have pores, good breathability but poor warmth retention. I'd better take a pair of snow covers to prevent my feet from getting wet with dew when I March in the morning.
8. socks: bring wool socks in winter and cotton socks in summer. When choosing, pay attention to the kind with thickened heels and soles.
The above is about dress. You don't have to be like me. Everyone can buy suitable outdoor clothes according to their own preferences and financial ability. But be sure to remember the following dress taboos (not sensational, sometimes this dress is fatal in the wild):
1, the coat can't be windproof, waterproof and wearable;
2, take a lot of sweaters to cold places (sweaters in the wild are useless at all, no wind takes up space, wet as iron, and dust absorption is its specialty);
3. Wear cotton or other underwear with poor perspiration;
4. Don't wear hats or warm hats in cold places;
5. Wear shoes with soft soles and low tops;
6. Wear shorts when crossing tropical jungles and deserts.
Secondly, it is very hard for a person to travel in the wild, because he can't eat normally as usual. Therefore, it is often seen that eating in the wild is not as good as usual, but the amount of exercise and consumption are much larger than usual, and the sanitary conditions for drinking in the wild are also very poor. What to eat in the wild and how to eat it have become big problems. Let's look at what the human body needs first. According to the degree of dependence on it, the human body needs water, sugar, protein, vitamins, trace elements and so on. Let's talk about how to ingest these elements in the wild.
1, water: Water is the most indispensable life element except air. Generally speaking, except the desert Gobi, it is easy to find water in most places, but it must be remembered that there are several kinds of water that cannot be drunk or directly:
A, snow water, you have to melt the snow on the snowy mountain first, and burn it if you can, but you can't just hold it in your arms. Eating snow directly will lower the body temperature and lead to gastrointestinal dysfunction. Once the body temperature is too low, it will be unconscious, lose normal thinking ability and produce hallucinations (this is why many people freeze to death without pain);
B, stagnant water, stagnant water here means that there is no life around, such as grass, animals, trees and so on. And lifeless water near the water is not drinkable, which usually means that the water contains toxic substances;
C, smelly water, although there will always be some rotten smells of leaves and roots in the forest, there is still a difference between the smell of polluted water and the rotten smell of plants;
D, water with abnormal color;
F, accumulated water;
G, turbid water;
In some places, water has two or more characteristics listed above, but B, C and D must not be drunk (even if it is boiled). F and G can be drunk without the characteristics of B, C and D, but they can be drunk after precipitation or filtration to remove impurities and boiling. Waterfall water and flowing water with rich vegetation near the water can be safely drunk. It is recommended to bring a filter straw.
2, sugar,
A, sugar is the main source of energy. The energy to maintain body temperature and produce work activities depends on the decomposition of sugar, while the activity of brain tissue depends entirely on the oxidation of glucose. When the sugar supply is sufficient, the body's demand for protein can be relatively reduced, and excess sugar can also be converted into fat storage;
B, sugar intake is very convenient. Starch foods are common and easy to find sugary foods, such as steamed bread, rice and noodles. And candy and chocolate are more convenient.
C. The element that can provide you with the fastest and most convenient energy in the wild is sugar. It takes a long time to provide it through protein and fat. A piece of chocolate will definitely give you calories faster than a piece of beef;
D, I usually take a lot of small pieces of chocolate in the wild, especially in the cold snow-capped mountains, chocolate is a lifesaver;
F, it is beneficial and convenient to eat more sugary food alone in the wild. Generally, sugary foods are not wasted. After providing heat for the human body, the surplus becomes glycogen, muscle glycogen and fat, which is of great significance to maintaining life in times of crisis (especially in extremely cold areas).
3, protein,
A, protein is the main component of body tissue, and it is an essential factor for building new tissue and repairing old tissue. In terms of nutritional value, animal protein is higher than plant protein, so we must pay attention to the intake of protein in the wild;
B, amino acids are an integral part of protein, and each amino acid has its unique function, so when choosing food, don't look for a staple food. Mixing staple foods can give you more kinds of amino acids, so many times some foods with low nutritional value can get high nutritional value once mixed. In the wild, I often mix soybean flour, millet flour, corn flour and sesame paste with boiling water to make my own wild vegetables.
C, it is lucky to eat eggs in the wild, but if you go to a sparsely populated place, it is obviously impossible for several people to carry dozens of eggs (the backpack is heavy enough, and the biggest pain of traveling alone is that the load is too heavy, because tents and other equipment can't be shared with others), so I have to find another way, so I often bring some foods with high protein content, such as liver (it is easy to buy braised and fresh-keeping liver in supermarkets), chicken essence and chicken essence.
D, be sure to pick nutritious things to eat where you can eat good things, and don't be too picky about the taste; I often take some oral amino acid capsules. I take this medicine when I can't get enough protein or my stomach has problems and I can't digest and absorb it properly. Usually oral amino acids also contain many trace elements, which is really a good protein supplement in the harsh field.
4, vitamins,
A, vitamins are divided into fat-soluble (such as vitamins A, D, E and K) and water-soluble (such as vitamins B and C), and each vitamin has its special function.
B, animal liver and egg yolk are rich in vitamins A and D, while green and red vegetables contain vitamins A, E and K. Group B can be ingested through vegetables and drugs, and C is common in fruits and vegetables. The characteristics of the field make it difficult to take vitamins in an all-round way, so I often bring a bottle of "Shanshu" tablets to make up for the lack of vitamin intake.
Trace elements, such as iron, zinc and calcium, are of great significance to human body. In the wild, you can take the above "Shanshu" tablets from animal liver (besides vitamins, it also contains trace elements needed by human body).
In a word, you must be good at eating in the wild. Here are some of my experiences of eating in the wild:
1, be sure to drink more water in the morning, because people will lose a lot of water at night, and at the same time eat some starchy foods rich in sugar, such as steamed bread. If there are no conditions, eat sugar and chocolate, and then eat something slow to digest, such as very dry bread and dried meat. These things will make you not hungry all day.
There are two ways to eat at noon. First, when time and conditions are sufficient, you can make some boiled meat slices (side dishes and seasonings). Remember to drink soup, this is the essence. If there are no meat dishes, boil the water and make a mixed food of soybean powder, millet powder, corn powder and sesame powder. Second, you don't have enough time and conditions. For example, there is no lunch on the way to the mountain. As long as you don't pass through the dangerous area, you have to keep walking, no matter how efficient the meal is. Don't choose food that is too difficult to digest when hiking. You know, marching for half a day in the afternoon is tiring. Too much food will increase the burden on the stomach, increase the blood supply to the stomach, and even reduce the blood supply to the brain (which is why we often feel tired after lunch). Action food for hiking is prepared in the morning or even the night before, usually carbohydrates, compressed dry food, pickles and tea;
You can treat yourself in the evening, eat something delicious and see the food you bring. I like to mix the liver with pepper and salt (delicious), cook a lunch box with a bag of chicken essence and add two rice balls. Take Xiancun after meals and sometimes add a few amino acid capsules. Eat some candy before going to bed.
4, prepare more small pieces of chocolate, which is an excellent source of heat, and potatoes, which are a kind of food that can be seen everywhere. When I was in Tibet, I ate it every day and bought it from my hometown. When cooking with fire, throw it under the fire and bury it with burnt firewood. When cooking, the fragrance floats on it, which makes people drool.
There are many ferns and wild mushrooms in the forest, which are delicious (just pay attention when picking mushrooms, bright colors may be toxic). Remember to cook mushroom soup once, add ham and sausage, and then make instant noodles with pepper. It's delicious.
6. Canned food is good game (I like canned fish). I usually buy small packages, eat a little at noon, seal them in plastic bags and solve them completely at night. After eating, I will pour the residual oil into the water to make soup.
7. Bring some milk powder so that you can have milk to drink.
8. When preparing game, it must be targeted, and every food must be chosen for a reason. Whether this food is rich in protein or contains a lot of trace elements, and whether it is easy to carry or cook. You know, the size of the backpack is so precious.
