I want to travel to America on May 1 next year. What about the American tourist visa? Is it possible to refuse a visa?

Visa B 1 is issued to applicants who go to the United States for short-term business activities, including signing contracts through negotiation, attending exhibitions or conferences, short-term training or negotiating business with suppliers or customers. B2 visas are issued to applicants who travel to the United States, including sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends and medical treatment. Holders of B 1 and B2 visas cannot work in the United States.

Applicants for B 1 and B2 visas must be able to prove that their intention is only to enter the United States temporarily, only for tourism and/or short-term business activities. Applicants must also prove that they have sufficient funds to pay for their stay in the United States, and that they have strong social, economic and other ties in their home country, which can force them to return as scheduled after a short and legal visit to the United States.

All B 1/B2 visa applicants should be prepared in advance so as to present the following materials and any other supporting materials related to visa application during the interview:

1. Valid passport: If your passport will expire or be damaged within six months of your expected arrival in the United States, or there is no blank visa issuance page on your passport, please apply for a new passport before coming for an interview.

6. Evidence that can explain why you will definitely return to China: produce documents that are binding on you in economic, social, family or other aspects to help you prove that you intend to return to China after a short stay in the United States. 8. proof of funds: prove that you have the ability to pay all the expenses that you don't work during your stay in the United States, such as a payroll that objectively reflects your monthly income and a passbook with regular entry and exit records.
