1. What is the Hong Kong and Macao Permit?

The People's Republic of China's Hong Kong and Macao Permit, commonly known as a two-way permit, is managed by the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China. This is a travel document issued by the Bureau to mainland Chinese residents traveling to Hong Kong or Macao for private purposes, visiting relatives, engaging in business, training, employment, studying abroad and other non-official activities.

Before coming to Hong Kong and Macao, you must obtain an endorsement issued by the mainland public security department for the purpose of visiting Hong Kong and Macao (such as group travel, individual travel, business or other endorsements, etc.). After the free travel of individual residents to Hong Kong and Macao is opened, for state agency staff, leaders of state-owned enterprises and institutions, and relevant staff of banks, finance and other departments, applications for "Pass to and from Hong Kong and Macao" and individual travel endorsements to Hong Kong and Macao must be submitted to the unit according to the cadre management authority Only after receiving opinions can you apply to the Public Security Exit and Entry Administration Department.

2. Materials required for Hong Kong and Macao pass application

(1) Application for individual travel to Hong Kong and Macao: Applicant’s ID card, original copy of household register, and one-inch large color blue background are required. 2 photos; "Permit to Travel to and from Hong Kong and Macao" costs 100 yuan each, 1 time valid endorsement fee is 20 yuan, 2 valid endorsement fees are 40 yuan; the first application will be processed in 15 working days, and the second application for endorsement will be processed in 10 working days.

(2) To apply for a two-way trip to visit relatives in Hong Kong and Macao: you need to submit the original copy of the applicant’s ID card and household registration book for verification, the ID card of the relative in Hong Kong and Macao, and the original copy of the return permit, one inch blue in size. 2 bottom color photos; "Permit to travel to and from Hong Kong and Macao" costs 100 yuan each, valid endorsement for one visit to relatives is 20 yuan, and endorsement for multiple valid visits to relatives within three months is 100 yuan; the first application will be processed in 15 working days, and the second application for endorsement: 10 Completed within one working day.

(3) Apply for Hong Kong and Macao business certificates: You need to submit a copy of the unit's business license, tax bill, application form, work permit, legal representative ID card, applicant ID card, household registration booklet and a large one-inch blue background color photo 2 Zhang; Hong Kong and Macao travel permit is NT$100 each.

Passport processing procedures, processing time limits and required materials: Original copies of the applicant’s ID card and household registration book must be submitted for verification, and 3 one-inch color photos with blue background; each passport costs 200 yuan; 15 working days to complete.

3. Hong Kong and Macau Pass Application Process

(1) Applying for the "Hong Kong and Macao Pass" and endorsement for the first time

For the first time, you must go to the immigration management at the place of residence. Submit the application at the office. The application materials include: original and copy of resident ID card and household registration book (photocopied on A4 paper, can be copied on the same paper), 2 2-inch light background color photos (can also be taken on site, at your own expense Pay), and apply for visas to Hong Kong and Macau respectively. If you only go to Hong Kong, apply for a Hong Kong endorsement; if you only go to Macau, apply for a Macau endorsement. If you go to both Hong Kong and Macau, you must apply for both places.

Processing time limit: Within 10 working days from the date of acceptance

Cost: "Permit to Travel to and from Hong Kong and Macao" 100 yuan each; one-time travel endorsement, 20 yuan each; Secondary travel endorsement, 40 yuan each

(2) If you already have a pass, apply for endorsement again (that is, add an endorsement)
