Introduction of Sanya's Beautiful Cultural Tourism

People who don't know Sanya always have a misunderstanding about Sanya, thinking that Sanya has a short history and little cultural accumulation. Some even bluntly said, "Sanya is a cultural desert". Actually, this is a misunderstanding. Because, looking at the historical inheritance of Sanya culture, Sanya has a long history, unique architectural culture, colorful folk culture and tourism culture that came from behind. Multi-cultures complement each other, penetrate each other and complement each other, accumulating into a vast cultural spectacle of Sanya.

There is a prehistoric cultural cave site at the southernmost tip of China-Robbie Cave Prehistoric Human Cultural Site.

Luodong, located in Lizhigou, Tiandu Town, Sanya City, is about 15km away from downtown Sanya. This cave is a natural limestone cave, located at the foot of Yinling, and it is a unique mountain peak. The hole is about12m high, 9m wide and18m deep, and gradually rises to about 22m. In the middle of the cave, there are two stalactites hanging like giant pens. Legend has it that in ancient times, the nib kept dripping. If a person can catch this drop of water, he will be witty, write a chapter, or get rich and prolong his life. On the floor of the cave, there are several flat stones shaped like inkstones. It is said that this is an inkstone used by "immortals", hence the name "pen hole".

In the winters of 1992 and 1993, an archaeological excavation team led by team leader Hao Side and composed of professionals from Hainan Provincial Museum, Institute of vertebrate paleontology and Paleoanthropology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Sanya Museum, etc., conducted a comprehensive investigation of the cave site, and cleaned and excavated it twice. * * * 70 square meters of cultural relics were cleared, and 8 pieces of human tooth fossils, stone products, bone horn products and other cultural relics, hundreds of animal fossils and more than 70,000 shellfish shells were unearthed. This discovery caused a great sensation inside and outside Hainan Province.

Since then, after more than four years of research, the mystery of the pen hole has finally been unveiled. This major archaeological discovery pushed the history of human activities in Hainan Island to 10,000 years ago. Pen hole has also become the starting point of the earliest human activities in Hainan.

According to experts, as early as 10,000 years ago, the "pen in Sanya" mainly focused on hunting, fishing and gathering. They lived a primitive cave life and multiplied endlessly, creating the ancient culture of Hainan Island in the wild times. This also shows that the ancient culture of Hainan Island is in the same strain as that of the mainland.

Although the Luobidong site has been excavated for many years, it has been confirmed that people lived and multiplied in Hainan Island 1 10,000 years ago. "Sanya Luobidong people" (referred to as "Sanya people") are the earliest known residents of Hainan Island. 12 The South China tiger, Asian elephant, tapir, tapir and other animal fossils that have never been recorded in Hainan's history have also been found in the Luobidong site.

The discovery of human prehistoric cultural sites in Luodong has added a lot of color to the history and culture of Sanya. This shows that 10,000 years ago, the ancestors of Hainan flourished here in Sanya, creating a splendid prehistoric culture. This also strongly proves that the early development time of Sanya is no less than that of other areas in China, and "Sanya people" are great pioneers in developing Hainan Island.
