Travel Notes of a Mongolian Female Man: The Beautiful Grassland, My Home--West Ujimqin Banner

I have joined such a good platform, but I have never posted anything valuable. I have sorted out my previous travel notes and started sharing them with you!

Let’s start with my beautiful hometown, West Ujimqin Banner!

West Ujimqin Banner Grassland

The sky and earth are dark and yellow, and the universe is primitive. The sun and the moon are flat, and the morning and night are arranged. Grassland scenery, high mountains and long rivers, the sound of morin fiddle, and the melodious sound of the earth. This is a paradise-like grassland, with no signal, isolated and clean, where you can eat meat and drink a lot, but you can also laugh loudly without being regarded as an alien. This is the grassland of West Ujimqin Banner.

How to get there?

Starting from Beijing, take the "G6 Beijing-Tibet Expressway" out of Beijing - after reaching Zhangjiakou, take the "Zhangshi Expressway" (Zhangbei, direction of Xilinhot) - and finally enter Xilinhot from the "Xizhang Expressway". Then depart from Xilinhot and take the S307 provincial road to West Ujimqin Banner. After passing by Banla Mountain Scenic Area in West Ujimqin Banner and continuing forward, you can see the most beautiful grassland in West Ujimqin Banner.

What to play?

The West Ujimqin Grassland in the Xilin Gol Grassland is known as "the most beautiful grassland in Inner Mongolia". It is also one of the four largest grasslands in the world - a typical area of ??the Xilin Gol Grassland in Inner Mongolia. It is now known as "the most beautiful grassland in Inner Mongolia". The most beautiful paradise grassland with ethnic characteristics."

The green grass here is like the sea, the livestock are like clouds, the felt bags are like buttons, and the meandering rivers are flowing with silver. There is not only the majestic beauty of endless, empty and deep, but also the dynamic beauty of the wind-blown grass and the low view of cattle and sheep; There is also the harmonious beauty between man and nature with blue sky and white clouds, green grass, and shepherds riding their horses.

Before entering the hinterland of the grassland, you will pass through Banla Mountain. This is a famous mountain here. One side of the mountain seems to have been chopped off with a knife, leaving only half of the mountain. A clear river meanders at the foot of the mountain. Dense shrubs and small trees grow along the river. Quiet and peaceful. It is said that someone has seen two little white snakes in the mountains with their own eyes, but they are too hidden and difficult to find. I wonder if the next white snake will appear in n years?

After entering the hinterland of the grassland, because it is the most primitive grazing grassland, this grassland is not open to the public. It is guarded by herdsmen and tourists are not allowed to enter. There are no fixed houses here, and the herdsmen still adhere to the most primitive nomadic life.

There are many kinds of flowers in the grassland, and most of them are uncommon and beautiful. Some are not only edible but also have medicinal value. The small yellow flowers in the picture are edible, and they taste the most tender before the flowers bloom.

What to eat?

The mutton in West Ujimqin Grassland is the most recommended, and it is a temptation that foodies absolutely cannot resist. (Roasted whole lamb is 2980RMB, roasted lamb leg is 480RMB for a large one, and 320RMB for a small one. However, Both expensive and expensive, the aftertaste is endless)

Try the milk tea and milk chews made by the herdsmen themselves, and you can also add butter extracted from the milk. The milk tea is salty and rich in taste. The milk is chewy and sour, and with the addition of sugar and fried rice, it is crunchy and crunchy, like popcorn wrapped in yogurt.

Where do you live?

Occasionally one or two yurts can be seen on the roadside in the West Ujimqin Grassland, which are places where tourists can stay. Generally, a yurt costs 200 per night and can accommodate up to 4 people. There are also larger yurts, and the relative price will also rise.

But located deep in the grassland, its sanitary conditions are obviously not as good as those in the city. There are beds laid on the floor, bedding that has not been washed for a long time, unknown mosquitoes and dry toilets infested with flies, and there are not even superfluous toilets. The lack of water for washing is a disadvantage of staying in a yurt, but the Milky Way late at night in summer will definitely make you feel that all the pain is worth it.
