Geographical environment of Baiyun mountain scenic spot in Fuan

The Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area in Fu 'an mainly includes five water systems, namely Huanglanxi, Xiuxi, Long Ting, Chanxi and Shouyangxi, all of which belong to Muyangxi, a tributary of Jiaoxi River system. Muyangxi originates in front of Zhenghe County, Fujian Province, flows through Shekou, Muyang, Kangcuo and Xitan in Heyang, zhouning county, and joins Fuchun River in front of Lianshou Village in Saiqi Town. Chanxi, which flows through Jiulongdong Scenic Area, has a total basin area of 42 square kilometers and an annual runoff of 654.38+0.087 million cubic meters. Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area, which flows through Fuan, is about 6.7 kilometers long.

Long Ting Creek, which flows through Long Ting Canyon Scenic Area, has a drainage area of 766 square kilometers and an annual runoff of 984 million cubic meters. Fu 'an Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area is about 16 km long.

Huanglanxi, which flows through Huanglan Canyon Scenic Area, belongs to Xiafengxi, a tributary of Muyangxi, with a length of about 9 kilometers, a drainage area of 68.6 square kilometers and an annual runoff of 80.45 million cubic meters.

Shouyangxi, which flows through Jinzhongshan Scenic Area, has a total basin area of 9.5 square kilometers and flows through Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area in Fu 'an for about 5.5 kilometers, with an annual runoff of110.9 million cubic meters. The geological composition of Baiyun Mountain is mainly pyroclastic rocks of the second member of Nanyuan Formation of Mesozoic Upper Jurassic, mainly rhyolitic ignimbrite. The rocks are light gray, gray, dark gray, grayish purple and purple, dense and massive, and fresh ones look like tuff lava. Plastic chips and plastic glass chips are arranged intermittently (more obvious after weathering), showing a flowing structure. Rock has fused tuffaceous structure, which is composed of crystal debris, plastic debris, plastic glass debris and volcanic ash. In addition, there are sporadic granite outcrops, mainly granite porphyries invaded for the fourth time in the first stage of the late Yanshan period. On the riverbed of Long Ting Creek and its tributaries, countless vertical caves, huge stones and stone mortars with different shapes are carved.

Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area is located in the south section of Donggong Mountain, one of the three mountains that control the topographic skeleton of Fu 'an City. The southwest of the territory is flat, the top of the mountain is round, the northeast slope is steep, there are many cliffs, the ridge is steep, and the gully is deep. The elevation is generally above 1000 meters, and the elevation of the main peak is 1449.2 meters. The geological structure in the scenic area is complex, with deep rivers along the fault zone and steep terrain. Due to the influence of glacier movement and river cutting, two deep valleys, Huanglan Canyon and Long Ting Canyon, were formed.
