How many sun islands are there in China?

Two.

There are two sun islands in China. One is Shanghai Sun Island International Tourism Resort, which is located at the intersection of Maohe River and Taipu River in the upper reaches of Huangpu River. Maohe River is connected with Dianshan Lake, and Taipu River is connected with Taihu Lake. The other is Sun Island Scenic Area in Heilongjiang Province, located in the south of Heilongjiang Province, on the north bank of Songhua River in Harbin, facing the bustling urban area across the water. It is about ten kilometers long from east to west and four kilometers wide from north to south, with a total area of 38 square kilometers. (The planned Fourth Ring Elevated Road in the west, Binzhou Railway Bridge in the east, the diversion dike in the north and the north bank of the Songhua River in the south), with a total area of 88 square kilometers.

Sun island evolved from the transliteration of Manchu bream. There are three names for bream flower in Manchu: one is common bream flower called sea flower, the other is black bream flower called fallow, and the other is round bream flower called Taiyian, which is very similar to the sun, that is, the sun on Sun Island means bream. It is said that the slopes of the island are clean and fine sand, and the sun is particularly hot, so it is called Sun Island.
