1953, the troops stationed in Xuanmu Mountain and the abbot of Shengen Temple, Rongzong, were placed in this long-abandoned ancestral hall, and after the renovation of Rongzong, a Buddhist temple was built.

1982, Taihu Lake was approved by the State Council as the first batch of national-level scenic spots in the name of Jiangsu Taihu Lake Scenic Spot.
