After Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty changed Wuzhou into Dongyang County in the third year of Daye (607), the northeast belonged to Zhuji, the east belonged to Linhai, the southwest belonged to Yongkang, and the central part belonged to Wushang.
In the first year of Tang Wansui's Dengfeng reign (696), Tangxing County was in the east, Jinyun County was in the southeast, Yongkang County was in the southwest, and Dongyang County was in the northeast.
