Why should Jingzhou tourism be developed?
Research on the development of cultural tourism industry in Jingzhou Jingzhou is a city with a long history, profound cultural heritage and rich modern flavor. Since the reform and opening up, Jingzhou’s traditional culture and modern civilization have complemented each other, the economy has grown by leaps and bounds, and the society has continued to progress. It has increasingly become an important central city in central and southern Hubei full of vitality and opportunities. How to speed up the development of Jingzhou? More than 50 years of practice have given the answer: The gap between Jingzhou and the United States lies in industry, and its potential lies in cultural tourism. Jingzhou is rich in tourism resources. As long as the strategic industrial development of the city's tourism industry is highly valued, tourism will surely become the city's pillar industry and an important economic growth point. The current situation and problems of Jingzhou's cultural tourism industry determine the development of Jingzhou's tourism industry. (1) Current status of cultural tourism development. As one of the first batch of national historical and cultural cities announced by the State Council, Jingzhou is a famous domestic and foreign tourist destination for leisure, entertainment, and sightseeing, with colorful gardens, profound historical and cultural heritage, and simple folk customs. Over the years, with the attention of party committees and governments at all levels and the joint efforts of relevant departments and the people of the city, Jingzhou China has focused on the restoration and protection of historical sites and tourism natural resources, and on the development and utilization of tourism resources. The industry has achieved rapid development and progress. Now, it has basically formed one city and three areas, with the ancient city of Jingzhou as the core, featuring Chu culture and the culture of the Three Kingdoms, and relying on three natural ecological protection scenic spots. One city is the ancient city of Jingzhou, and the other three are Songzi Lushui Scenic Area, Honghu Scenic Area and Shishou Tianezhou Elk Nature Reserve. There are nearly 60 attractions open to tourists in the city, including 3 4A-level attractions. The east gate of the ancient city is a 4A-level scenic spot; Jingzhou Museum was rated as the first batch of 4A; the China Museum, ranking first among local museums in the country, has a collection of more than 120,000 cultural relics, including nearly 300 pieces (sets) of national first-class cultural relics such as corpses of the Western Han Dynasty. Honghu Lake is a 4A-level tourist attraction. At the same time, the revolutionary historical sites in western Hunan and western Hubei have also been listed as national key red tourist areas. Jingzhou currently has 2 international travel agencies, 28 domestic travel agencies, 30 star hotels, and 30,000 tourism professionals. In 2005, the city received 3.89 million domestic and foreign tourists, including 22,000 overseas tourists, with total tourism revenue of 1.96 billion yuan. (2) Problems faced by cultural tourism. First, the flow of tourists has decreased and the comprehensive benefits are not high. The city's domestic and foreign visitor numbers and total tourism revenue have been declining since 2003. Jingzhou Museum and Dongmen Scenic Area are two famous attractions in our city. In 2004, the Jingzhou Museum received 100,000 tourists and generated ticket revenue of 2.5 million yuan, a far cry from the 170,000 visitors in 2002. The East Gate received 110,000 tourists and generated ticket revenue of 1.01 million yuan, a far cry from the 140,000 tourists and 1.415 million yuan in 2002. The conditions of Honghu Lake, Fushui and other scenic spots have not reached the expected goals. Due to the small number of tourists and short stay time, it is impossible to lengthen the consumption chain of food, accommodation, transportation and shopping. As a result, the total tourism revenue is very low, and most travel agencies are in a state of meager profit and capital preservation. Jingzhou International Travel Agency is the largest travel agency in this city. In 2004, it received only more than 2,200 overseas tourists and made a profit of more than 70,000 yuan. Other travel agencies are not doing well either. Second, the scenic spots are scattered and the cultural connotation is not outstanding enough. Over the years, although some historical sites and scenic spots from the Three Kingdoms period have been protected, maintained and sorted out, due to the lack of unified planning and packaging of the scenic spots and insufficient understanding of the characteristics and advantages of the historical and cultural city Jingzhou, some scenic spots have been damaged. Insufficient protection
In recent years, the city has rarely organized large-scale, high-level, and influential tourism promotion activities, rarely participated in promotion activities organized by relevant superior units, let alone participated in regional events organized by other provinces and cities Sexual and targeted tourism promotion activities or the use of central media to increase visibility have resulted in Jingzhou’s tourism resources in the United States growing up in the boudoir and unknown to the public. Fifth, the management system is not smooth and tourism resources need to be integrated. Since tourism management involves multiple administrative departments and lacks an overall understanding and overall consideration of the tourism industry, the construction and development of scenic spots are often carried out independently, making small scenic spots scattered but not refined, while large scenic spots have little motivation. For example, the Dongmen Scenic Area, the nearby Monument Garden, the ancient city wall, and the scenic spots outside the city wall belong to four different departments. It is impossible to implement unified planning and management, nor to implement effective integration, development, and utilization of tourism resources. Sometimes there are strange phenomena of mutual exclusion and market competition, which seriously restrict the healthy development of the tourism industry. (3) Suggestions to support the development of cultural tourism. In order to comprehensively expand and enhance the scale and market competitiveness of Jingzhou's tourism economy and promote the rapid, healthy, coordinated and sustainable development of Jingzhou's tourism industry, the following suggestions are made: First, strengthen the government's leading role in promoting tourism development. It is recommended that the municipal party committee and the municipal government strengthen their leadership, establish the Jingzhou Municipal Tourism Management Committee, strengthen the functions of the tourism management department, and form a pattern of joint management and overall linkage. The second is to scientifically formulate development plans. Governments at all levels and relevant departments should highlight the Three Kingdoms culture, Chu culture, old areas and wetland ecology, conscientiously formulate tourism development plans, and scientifically and rationally develop and utilize various tourism resources. The third is to strengthen the construction of scenic spots and infrastructure. It is necessary to increase investment in tourism development through various investment and financing methods such as winning national and provincial projects and funds, attracting investment, and activating non-governmental organizations. At the same time, special funds for tourism development should be established, tourism routes and infrastructure should be well constructed, and existing tourism resources should be effectively integrated. The fourth is to increase publicity and promotion efforts. Fifth, improve and optimize the tourism development environment.
Taking the implementation of the "Hubei Provincial Tourism Regulations" as an opportunity to comprehensively strengthen industry management and comprehensive law enforcement inspections, standardize tourism market behavior, improve the overall quality and service level of the tourism industry, and strive to create a good image of Jingzhou tourism.
Urban development without industry is definitely a P word! Can tourism promote urban development? How big is your city? How to develop tourism? How do citizens generate income? How to standardize management? How to ensure public security? It's all fake. Attract investment with integrity and develop industries. When citizens have some money in their pockets, you can develop as you wish. Without industrial support, cities would collapse. Don don't listen to their screams to stay alive.
