I want to travel to Thailand. Can RMB be used directly in Thailand?

RMB is not the common currency in Thailand, so it cannot be used directly. Although you can't use RMB cash directly, it is very convenient to shop by credit card, and it is more cost-effective to use UnionPay card than to exchange cash, because it saves exchange losses.

Before you travel to Thailand, you can directly exchange RMB for Thai baht, and please exchange some US dollars. In Thailand, RMB cannot be exchanged for Thai baht at ordinary exchange points or banks. Thai baht can only be exchanged in US dollars, euros, Japanese yen, Canadian dollars, Australian dollars and other currencies, of which the most common is US dollars.

Another advantage of bringing dollars is that if you don't spend them all, you can take them back to China and change them into RMB. You can also change the unused Thai baht into US dollars before leaving Thailand, because the Bank of China can't change Thai baht into RMB.
