The preliminary development of tourism in Qinhuangdao, detailed introduction
Qinhuangdao has a long history of tourism and occupies a unique position in the history of China’s tourism development.
In 215 BC, Qin Shihuang visited Qinhuangdao on his eastward tour. This was one of the earliest tourism activities in China, and Qinhuangdao got its name.
In 1898, the Qing government officially designated Beidaihe as a summer resort. This was the first officially announced tourist area in my country. Therefore, Beidaihe is known as the cradle of China's tourism industry.
After the founding of New China, the sanatorium of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was moved directly from Xibaipo to Beidaihe. Soon, the central government designated Beidaihe as the summer office of central leaders, hence the name "Summer Capital". As major ministries and commissions of the central government and large state-owned enterprises have allocated land to build nursing homes in Beidaihe, MICE and vacation tourism took the lead in Beidaihe.
In 1979, the first national tourism work conference after the reform and opening up was held in Beidaihe.
Let me say this much for now, I don’t know if it is enough.
