The National Tourism Administration is responsible for formulating the policies and standards of the national tour guide qualification examination, organizing the unified tour guide qualification examination, and supervising and managing the implementation of the tour guide qualification examination by local tourism authorities at all levels. The tourism authorities of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government shall be responsible for organizing and implementing the specific work of the qualification examination for tour guides within their respective administrative areas. The specific measures for the administration of the national tour guide qualification examination shall be formulated separately by the National Tourism Administration.
