GIS map: what is it

Geographic Information System (English: geographic information system, abbreviated as GIS) is a comprehensive subject, which combines geography and cartography and has been widely used in different fields. It is a computer system for inputting, storing, querying, analyzing and displaying geographic data.

According to geographic information system, people developed TGIS, that is, tourism geographic information system. Based on the database of tourism geographic information, supported by computer hardware and software, it comprehensively and dynamically obtains, stores, manages, analyzes and applies tourism geographic information by using the theories and methods of system engineering and information science.

Extended data GIS is usually used in combination with GPS. For large-scale and open-air patrol inspection, patrol personnel hold GPS patrol system, receive GPS satellite positioning messages (time, latitude and longitude) in real time, automatically send positioning information to wireless communication front-end machine at preset time intervals, or manually send positioning information at specific locations.

After receiving the positioning information, the wireless communication front-end machine transmits the data to the management system platform. The system software adopts GIS electronic map technology to dynamically display and play back patrol tracks, and detailed information of patrol points can be obtained through GIS analysis.
