Huang Zehe’s store on Zhongshan Road is particularly easy to find. Entering from the intersection connected to Lujiang Road, you can see Huang Zehe's big sign (opposite KFC) only a hundred meters away. There are usually many people waiting for food at the door.

The best peanut soup is the egg and peanut soup (3 yuan). Personally, I think it tastes better than the ordinary one (2 yuan). In addition to peanut soup, I also ordered their oyster omelette, which must be eaten with dipping sauce.

Two: Xiamen Bianshi Sao

This kind of thing, which is called wonton in many places, is called Bianshi in Xiamen. When talking about Xiamen’s Bianshi, Bianshisao must be mentioned. Bian Shi Sao has a history of half a century. People who ask around the old neighborhoods of Xiamen (Datong Road, Zhongshan Road) will know about it. My senior told me that when she was little, if she caught a cold, she would eat a bowl of flat food, then go home and take a bath and she would feel better.

If you go to Xiamen, someone will definitely recommend you to eat a bowl of Shacha Noodles. However, the most authentic Sha Cha Noodles is undoubtedly the one in Lakeside Sili.

Easy to find, on Jinbang Street. The characteristics of Jinbang Street are very obvious. There are fruit sellers on one side and flower sellers on the other side. Like other Xiamen specialty gourmet restaurants, the facade of Shacha Noodles is also very low-key.

Five: Xiamen Bashi Zhangji Fish Balls

This is not a fish ball snack shop, but a place that sells fish ball ingredients. Bashi is a famous seafood market in Xiamen. It only takes 5 minutes to get to Bashi from the ferry. However, for such a famous market, many locals in Xiamen don’t even know about it. However, if you ask local Xiamen people who open shops near the ferry or post office, they will be very friendly and give you directions on how to get to the eight cities.

Six: Lujiang Hotel Sea View Hall + Pizza Hut

Actually, I don’t think the food in these two stores is very delicious. Needless to say, Pizza Hut's sesame cakes, and the Xiamen snacks at Lujiang Hotel taste very average. However, the location of these two restaurants is unbeatable - you will get free invincible sea views of Gulangyu Island while dining. This Pizza Hut is on the 24th floor, claiming to be the highest Pizza Hut in the world, with an excellent view; Lujiang Hotel has an open-air restaurant, which gives a better visual experience.

The waiters are very enthusiastic and will hand over a piece of dried meat for you to try even though they are far away. There is always a long queue at the door. It is almost the most delicious snack on Gulangyu Island.

The eighth mother-in-law of Gulangyu burns fairy grass. The name is amazing, right? It's a bit similar to Guiling paste, with some red beans and raisins added, and it tastes very good.

Miss Zhao’s shop in Gulangyu Island: the decoration is petty bourgeoisie, the taste is average, and the price is expensive. I had a bowl of secretly made grass jelly at their house for 20 yuan. Compared with the 5 yuan of Ba Popo’s roasted grass jelly, the price/performance ratio is too low.

There is a very delicious beef noodle restaurant opposite Malasang in Gulangyu Island. The beef soup of Angelica is good, and all the locals in Gulangyu Island go there to eat it.
