The ancient villages hidden in Anhui have a history of more than 2,000 years, and Huizhou architecture can be seen everywhere, which is worth visiting.
Every time Anhui is mentioned, the first thing that tourists think of is the impressive welcome of Huangshan Mountain, which must have become a familiar tourist attraction for many tourists. Every time I mention Anhui, I can always tell many memorable tourist attractions. In addition, there are actually many scenic spots in Anhui that tourists are expected to visit. There is an uninhabited village in Huangshan, Anhui Province, and hundreds of ancient buildings of large families have been abandoned. I'm really sorry. It turns out that this ancient village is Baojiazhuang in Nanyuankou Village, Huicheng Town, Shexian County, only 6 kilometers away from Shexian County.
The Huizhou-Hangzhou Highway built at that time passed through the village, dividing the ancient village into old and new parts. Most of the buildings in the village are left over from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and Baojiazhuang Old Street is hidden among them. This is an old street with a total length of about150m. On the other side of the mountain, you can see Baojiazhuang New Village, which was built in the later period. Most of the buildings in the village are only a few decades ago.
Baojiazhuang is located at the intersection of sanxiang town, bordering Mazhuang Town in the east, xinzhuang town in the west and Shaoyao Mountain in the north. There are many members of the Bao family in the village, including Wang, Zhao, Shen and Qi. In addition to the majority of Han people, the village also includes Qiang, Dai, Korean and Yi people. Visitors to the old village of Baojiazhuang will see Huizhou-style buildings with quaint charm on both sides of the street. In addition to striking white walls with gray tiles, there are also tall gatehouses. Beautiful patterns are carved on the walls of the gatehouse, and ancient streets and lanes are paved with bluestones and pebbles. Occasionally, you can see thriving moss in the cracks. They seem to be the best witnesses in Baojiazhuang Village, accompanying the ancient village day and night.
Every family has a high horse head wall. Although this wall looks a little old, visitors can be sure that they can feel the scenes that have happened here. Perhaps Baojiazhuang village was also very lively at first, and people lived comfortably and freely here. It is said that some rich people want to spend money to develop this place into a tourist attraction, but after all the villagers moved away, somehow there was no news of the project. At first, an ancient village full of fireworks became an uninhabited village.
According to these buildings, each family's buildings are arranged orderly and separated by tall courtyard walls. These houses are built opposite each other. The way to get along with neighbors can only be connected with each other by opening the door. Most of these ancient houses are upper and lower floors. The hall is located in the middle, with bedrooms for the owners to rest on the left and right sides, and a square patio in the middle, which makes the lighting of the hall depend on it.
In order to make the water in the courtyard smooth in time when the rainy season comes, a huge drainage pool is specially built with stones to achieve the best effect of flood control. The wisdom of the ancients is not only reflected in the architecture of residential houses, but also in drainage. Living in a bustling city for a long time, it is a great enjoyment to visit such an exciting ancient building complex occasionally.
