The backpack must be big enough, preferably a long mountaineering bag, which can hold clothes and a lot of food, and it won't be tired to climb the mountain with that bag.

There are few hotels on the mountain, and they are very expensive. Get online in advance to know their latest prices and reservations. There is no way to stay in an expensive place.
