I went to North Korea by train from Beijing last year. If you want to see the real Korean countryside, and you have time to endure the delay and slow speed of the train, it is recommended to go by train, which is cheap and can see some real Korean countryside. If time is limited and I just want to see Pyongyang, I suggest flying to save time.
