Besides talking about powder, what other places in Liuzhou are worth visiting?
Snail powder? Industrial city? Or Liu Zongyuan?
To tell the truth, Liuzhou was just a point on the map before I fell in love with snail powder. The only memory about it is what Liu Zongyuan mentioned in his life when he was studying Chinese in high school. Because of the failure of Yongzheng Innovation, Liu Zongyuan was demoted again and again, from Chang 'an to Shaozhou, then to Yongzhou, and finally to Liuzhou. The world calls it "Liu Liuzhou".
A few years ago, I accidentally tasted snail powder in a small shop and was immediately fascinated by its smelly and fragrant taste. In addition, there are always various posts on the Internet saying that "snail powder is only the most authentic in Liuzhou", which attracted my greedy heart to Liuzhou and always thought that I must eat a bowl of powder one day.
Sure enough, this "powder trip" didn't let me down (poke this cloud). After talking about powder, I found that there are still many places worth visiting in Liuzhou. Some friends just want to go recently, so I'll write it down and share it with you. Because I was traveling alone with a child over two years old who needed to push a stroller, the scenic spots I went to were limited to Liuzhou city, and I didn't set foot in suburban counties (leaving some suspense for next time). My itinerary will be attached at the end of the article.
? The following scenic spots are all visited by me personally, and the evaluation is subjective. Please don't drive at will! If you have a better recommendation, please leave a message! ?
There are two museums in Liuzhou. One is Liuzhou Museum, which focuses on the national culture and history of Liuzhou. One is Liuzhou Industrial Museum, which is the first comprehensive industrial museum in China.
Let me introduce Liuzhou Museum first. The museum is located in the center of the city and the traffic is very convenient. Although it is not big, and there is only one building in the main body of the whole museum, there are several exhibition halls, such as the History Museum, the Ethnic Museum, the Bronze Museum, the Fan Painting and Calligraphy Museum, and the Paleontological Fossil Museum. It can be said that "the sparrow is small and complete".
If you like paleontological fossils, or if you have children at home, you will be happy to come here. The Paleontological Fossil Museum displays a variety of fossils, spanning a long time, from the earliest Chengjiang biochemical fossil group in China (Cambrian 570 million years ago) to the Quaternary Liuzhou mammal fossils, and there are also related popular science films.
More than 200 fine fan-shaped paintings and calligraphy in Ming and Qing Dynasties and modern times are mainly exhibited in the painting and calligraphy museum, among which I also found a fan-shaped painting inscribed by Grandpa Four. What do you think of grandpa four's handwriting?
Of course, bronzes are on display in the Bronze Museum. Although there are not many collections, they are all fine works. For example, this is a bronze of the Western Zhou Dynasty, and the inscription on the bronze is called "Yun Leiwen".
Liuzhou is also a multi-ethnic city, so the museum has a special exhibition hall to introduce the architecture, costumes, embroidery, handicrafts and other folk crafts of several major ethnic groups such as Zhuang, Miao, Yao and Dong. There is also a wind and rain bridge in the museum, which is modeled after the most famous wind and rain bridge in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County. If you can't see the original like me, it's not bad to read it here.
Liuzhou Industrial Museum is a newly-built museum, which was opened to the public on 20 12. It is located in Yufeng District, a little far from the city. However, believe me, it is definitely worth your special visit (besides, there are scenic spots around to go with).
It was rare that it didn't rain on the day I went. Wan Li was clear, which was very suitable for taking pictures. Look at the name of the huge museum at the door. It's very industrial.
There is an old steam locomotive directly on the square outside the exhibition hall. It was a tall iron guy with bright colors, which set off the green trees behind him. It was very nice to take a shot.
There is also a train car behind this locomotive. There is a 24-hour book in the car. Don't forget to experience it when you come to visit.
In the industrial museum, all kinds of physical and graphic materials in the development process of China from modern traditional handicraft industry to modern industrial civilization are fully displayed. The largest "Industrial History Museum" is transformed from the original two-story textile workshop, which displays various industrial equipment and products. Many exhibits are huge, and mobile phones can't take good angle photos.
There is also an exhibition hall that restores this historical scene, and you can learn about the development of modern handicrafts.
There is also an ecologically livable museum in the Industrial Museum, which shows the process of acid rain control and ecological environment reconstruction in Liuzhou in recent decades. The outdoor park of the museum displays large-scale industrial exhibits, such as diesel locomotives, loaders, hydraulic presses and so on. In addition, the surrounding buildings are all factories, and the whole park has a strong industrial atmosphere. It can be said that it is very hard-core and very suitable for taking pictures.
Although Liuzhou is an industrial city, it has a very long history. The birthplace of the ancient human "Liujiang people" in southern China is here, so Liuzhou has also preserved many ancient human cultural sites. This chapter shares some historical attractions I have been to in Liuzhou.
Liu Hou Park is mainly recommended, which was built in memory of Liu Zongyuan, a secretariat of Liuzhou. Baidu says it is the most famous scenic spot in Guangxi and the only national key park in Guangxi. This park is located in the city center, just opposite Liuzhou Museum. There are historical sites related to Liu Zongyuan in the park, such as Liu Hou Temple, Wenguanzhong, Luochi and Citrus Pavilion. There are winding bridges and clear water, pavilions and rockeries, lush vegetation and blooming flowers. It is a good place to relax.
It is said that Liu Zongyuan often passed by Luochi before his death. After his death, he told his subordinates in his dream that he would build his temple next to Luochi. This is, of course, attached by future generations. However, when Xu Xiake, a great traveler in Ming Dynasty, visited Liuzhou, he also made a special trip to Luochi. It can be seen that this place is the favorite of literati in past dynasties (I am also an arty one ~)
Liu Hou Temple is a ancestral temple built in memory of Liu Zongyuan. All kinds of cultural relics, paintings and charts are displayed in the ancestral hall, and Liu Zongyuan's life story is introduced in detail. In addition to these conventional materials, there are more than 30 stone carvings displayed in the ancestral hall since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the most famous of which is the "Lizi Monument", which is engraved with a poem by Han Yu praising Liu Zongyuan. The calligraphy is from Su Dongpo, so it is also called "Three Juebei". Don't miss those who like calligraphy and stone carving.
Behind the Liu Hou Temple, in a secluded place surrounded by pine and cypress, there is a monument to Liu Zongyuan. It is said that after Liu Zongyuan's death, his remains were transported back to Chang 'an. Liuzhou people missed him and buried his clothes in the parking place of his spiritual pivot as a souvenir.
It was Tomb-Sweeping Day when I went. Someone laid flowers at the grave in memory of the great poet.
I must have been from the south in my last life, and I like the south so much in my life. The trees are full of flowers, which nourish the eyes and moisten the lungs. Why not?
In addition to Liu Hou Park, there are several places in Liuzhou that can be called historical attractions, namely Dongmen Gate Tower, Liu Di, Confucian Temple and Xilai Ancient Temple, all of which can be completed in one sentence. If you drop in when you have time, you can visit them. If you don't have time, you don't have to go there on purpose.
Dongmen Tower is located on the edge of Liujiang River, coming out from the south gate of Liu Hou Park, walking south along Wen Hui Road, and you can see the tower less than 500 meters away. It is said that this is a well-preserved Ming Dynasty tower in Guangxi, which is dedicated to Guan Gong. When I went to the river to see the night scene at night, I just walked to the tower, taking my children with me, and I didn't climb it on purpose. I'm sure enjoying the river view on the tower will make you feel more at night and day.
The Confucian Temple, as its name implies, is naturally a place for offering sacrifices to Confucius. Liuzhou Confucian Temple was built in Tang Dynasty, and Liu Zongyuan also participated in the restoration of the Confucian Temple. However, the present Confucian temple is definitely not the one repaired by Liu Zongyuan, but was rebuilt by the government ten years ago. Naturally, the main building and the surrounding vegetation are very new.
Today's Confucian Temple is located next to Panlongshan Park on the bank of Liujiang River, facing the East Gate Tower across the river. Looking at this magnificent new Dacheng Hall, you should also be able to imagine the scene inside. The long staircase in front of the door successfully dispelled my desire to climb up and have a look.
It is said that the Baili Liujiang River made an eighteen-bend detour in Liuzhou. As can be seen from the map, the winding Liujiang River is as elegant as a ribbon. Xilai Ancient Temple is also near Liujiang, but it is in the west of Liuzhou. As can be seen from the picture below, this is also a rebuilt temple. On the right side of this magnificent Miao Yin Pavilion, some of its original features are still preserved.
The Miao Yin Pavilion has three floors and is open to visitors for a period of time. One hour is more than enough to visit the whole temple. If you are not interested in temples, there is no need to make a special trip, because there are no other scenic spots around except Liujiang.
There are really too many parks in Liuzhou. There are more than a dozen large and small parks, the most famous of which are Liu Hou Park and Dalongtan Park.
The day before I left Liuzhou, it happened to be the third day of the third lunar month, the Song Fair Festival of the Zhuang nationality. I heard that there was a duet in Dalongtan, and Qi Qi and I rushed over. Longtan Park is located in the south of the city, not far away, with convenient transportation.
When you walk into Dalongtan Park, you will completely forget that it is a park in the urban area, surrounded by mountains, shaded by trees and smoky. It is said that Liu Zongyuan once prayed for rain for the people here, and wrote "Pray for Rain in Tang Lei" handed down from generation to generation. There are also various memorial buildings in the park. In addition, among the lush vegetation, there are various ethnic minority villages for tourists to visit.
The mountains and rivers in Guangxi are very attractive. The north is steep and magnificent, and the south is gentle and sincere. In addition, the vegetation is lush and the water vapor is abundant. As soon as the sun shines, it presents a hazy feeling of clouds steaming Xia Wei.
This rain bridge is also designed and built on the basis of Sanjiang Chengyang rain bridge. It is a reinforced concrete covered bridge building with imitation wood structure, with unique shape and characteristics. After crossing the bridge, there is a nine-story quadrangular Dong Drum Tower on the right, which gives you a glimpse of the architectural features of the Dong people.
Naturally, these houses are built for sightseeing, but they are well integrated with the natural environment. They are surrounded by mountains and rivers, or perched on cliffs, or scattered in lush forests, with unique shapes and exquisite architecture. There are also some displays in the houses that can show the characteristics of minority life, which can be regarded as a simple understanding.
Because the whole scenic spot is very large, tourists will be crowded except where there are shops, and other places are quiet and all kinds of flowers are in full bloom, which is very suitable for arranging a day to stroll slowly, even if it is just to breathe fresh air and forget the troubles in life for the time being.
Li Yufeng Scenic Area is also a combination of "mountains and water". The difference is that it is related to Sanjie Liu. Liu Sanjie is a folk legend singer of Zhuang nationality. She is smart and has a moving voice. Her name is Song Xian. It is said that she boarded a carp in the small Longtan here in Mo Lifeng Peak.
When I was a child, I watched Liu Sanjie's CD and especially admired her good voice. I wonder if all Zhuang people can sing especially? The whole park is very lively, and people singing and dancing can be seen everywhere. The whole park was so lively that even I met a duet! I stopped to listen for a while, but I didn't understand a word. It's not like this in the movie at all!
There are two mountains in Li Yufeng Scenic Area, Yufeng Mountain and Maanshan Mountain. There is the same cable car between these two mountains. Because it is located in the urban area, it is said that climbing to the top of the mountain can overlook the whole Liuzhou. Interested friends can try it.
This part is also a "scenic spot in one sentence", which is not worth recommending and is for reference only.
Yaobu Ancient Town: It is said to be an "ancient town", but it is actually a man-made scenic spot, located by the Liujiang River. Similar to the man-made ancient towns in other cities in China, even the things sold are estimated to be similar. Maybe it will look better at night.
Genting Sightseeing: It is a sightseeing area set on the top floor of Wang Di Building, where you can see the night view of Liuzhou. There is also a high-altitude glass sightseeing plank road, which bold people can try. If you just want to see the night view, you might as well go to the river.
Night view of Liujiang River: Liujiang River winds through Liuzhou City, and the night view by the river is quite beautiful (the photos I took are only partial). There is also a musical fountain by the river, which is suitable for walking at night. If you have the habit of running in the morning, you may see a different Liuzhou.
If you go to the river to see the night scene, you can stroll south along the five-star pedestrian street to the river, enjoy the music fountain, and then walk east along the river to the East Gate Tower. The lighting of this line is not very good.
The above are almost all the scenic spots I have visited in Liuzhou, and there may be omissions (those omissions may not be important scenic spots). Among them, Liu Hou Park, Dalongtan Park and Liujiang Night Scene are two museums worth recommending.
Liuzhou is a small city, and many scenic spots can be reached within walking distance of no more than ten kilometers. If you have enough time and good colleagues, you can arrange it more compactly, or even go to suburban counties to have a look. After all, as a city inhabited by ethnic minorities, I think the most distinctive place in Liuzhou is probably in the suburbs!
I hope I can help you ~
